I don't post here to often, especially since I only joined TV Tropes last October. I will admit that as I said earlier, I'm not that deep into the Furry Fandom. However, I would definitely like to get myself a fursuit one day and I would also like to be able to attend at least a few Furry Conventions a year in the future. Hey I figure if I can't draw, then I might as well try to get myself a little bit known in the fandom by attending some conventions. I mean other than a few people on the internet, I don't really have all that many friends and I wouldn't mind trying to get some real friends.

Also I'm not trying to advertise it, but if anyone is interested in one of my stories, here's a link to the first chapter. I haven't really had anyone talk about it, so I would like to hear anyone's opinion about it and all criticism is appreciated.

Willkommen, Takahashi fan! (Or is it just Inuyasha?)

I draw, but the way that I draw and what is a bit atypical. Funnily enough, I also write fiction with animal-people, or rather am writing a novel(-thingy) with a cast of such, but most of what's seen the light of day I've shared through more private channels. I could post just a little of it here if anyone's curious.

To your own writing: I'd give a fuller rundown of my thoughts, but it's late and I'm a tired fellow. I will say that you should work on your syntax and sentence flow, however.

I'll hide your name inside a word and paint your eyes with false perception.

You know what's difficult?

Redesigning a character when you have zero art skills.

And then when you do get artistic assistance, this feeling of being a huge bother just looms over you. Especially if the first idea you have doesn't stick.

[up]Oh yeah. I really hate designing a character at times partly because I cannot draw at all. If I could I would be drawing concepts and just go from there. It would make constructing info about said characters so much easier too.....

Morgi is actually going to something furry related tonight. This could be interesting.

Basically a couple of people showed up in fursuits. But it was an excuse to get out of the house and interact with people.

I filled the survey.

And I have a slight feeling of cringe inside now, which I'm not sure I understand.

@JHM

I'm not sure if it seems obvious or not, but I've never taken any writing classes on literacy yet. For the most part, I taught myself how to write stories. And if you can guess, my first few stories I wrote are not that good at all and they have many mistakes than the story I posted here. Also even though I do enjoy them, I don't read books too often anymore. I used to a few years ago but nowadays I don't read many at all. So all of that said, I had no idea what syntax flow was until you pointed that out to me. But I am still happy for your feedback and I will be attending college soon and if all will go well, I will definitely be taking a few classes in writing.

I wouldn't say I write specifically furry things, but as I am a furry and the majority of my stuff is Kung Fu Panda fics, and now a Zootopia one, I'd be lying if I said there wasn't a connection.

Also, that survey was pretty interesting, though much like the last survey I took here, I find the emphasis on sexuality a bit off-putting. Is it any wonder I gave a high rating to the question "How do you think other furries view sex?" How can I not answer "important" when it has its own page? [lol]

I took the survey. I identified as a furry fan because I sometimes don't feel like an actual furry.

I marked how important to furry is sex from the perspective of other furries a 1, as I don't think anyone here thinks that is the important part.

Also, I don't really understand the difference between "furry" and "furry fan". I've always used them interchangeably.

Well, I'm a fan of furry stuff, but I don't know if I am a furry, because sometimes that means more to people.

[up][up]I may have interpreted the question differently. I was thinking: "If you don't like the naughty stuff, are you still a furry?" I think everyone here would say yes.

I don't call myself a furry based on what it means to other people, but on what it means to me. I'm not interested in fursuiting, conventions, most artwork and fan characters, etc, but I still call myself a furry because I am a huge fan of anthropomorphic animals in general and several of their works. I consider that the main defining factor.

So it's interchangeable for me, but now I understand why others see it differently so thanks.

I did the survey for fun. I found furry music and art very important so I rated high on those. I rated everything else as neutral (I have participated in roleplays way way back in the day). Not going to any cons....

I just rated art and literature highly. I didn't even know there was music.

I also rated something low. It might have been fursuiting. I am already forgetting the details.

I don't really remember half the questions or what I answerd to them.

As far as I understand a "furry" actively follows animal people works, artists and media and more than likely has some fascination of the concept of real animal folk, hence fursona. But this doesn't mean being an otherkin or believing real furries exist, that's another topic.

A "furry fan" is almost the same, but doesn't have much interest past the works, media and artists part. Lacks a fursona etc.

Then by that definition, I qualify as more of a "furry fan", but not everyone sees it that way.

I admit that I have seen myself as a furry fan for many many years because I also like anthropomorphic animals, but I didn't see myself as a furry because I didn't actually start attending furry events until last year. Now I see myself more as a furry instead of a furry fan and I want to start fursuiting hopefully by next year since I can't draw for the life of me and I love most of the fandom. I also want to record myself playing video games so I can have a handful of people that know me on Youtube. I know that I probably won't be as popular as other top gamers like Markiplier or Pew Die Pie, but I like playing video games a lot and I might as well show it by posting videos of it. I'm probably going to even use my fursona's name instead of just my regular account so I can get other furries to know about me through my videos.

Play games in a fursuit.

With big silly paw gloves.

And suck despite trying your hardest, because stupid over sized paw gloves.

Either you'll be hated and roasted, or people will find your futile attempts amusing.

I just see myself as a furry fan and have always been for years. I have made friends with a whole lot of furries as they generally are pretty nice from what I have seen so far....

[up][up]You want to be careful with that. Fursuits on top of the aforementioned paw problem can also be rather warm so if you are in a hot room or you get very much into a game you will easily roast yourself. Those big costumes are ridiculously hot in temperature if you don't have any airflow through them.
