Heya, peeps. Hows everyone?
Song of the Week: Find You by ZEDDHello. Been in the Fandom for a while now, but haven't really interacted much with the community.
So, anyway... How's everyone doing?
Pretty good
Song of the Week: Find You by ZEDDThis coven seems kinda inactive. What gives?
we wait until the time is right...
"Coffee! Coffeecoffeecoffee! Coffee! Not as strong as Meth-amphetamine, but it lets you keep your teeth!"And then we choose to strike, swiftly. In the night. MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA- *shot*
Song of the Week: Find You by ZEDDFor some reason, it seems that whenever someone asks how everyone is doing, the entire thread just freezes.
Probably because some ice dragons keep trying to open their mouths to answer.

Someone added that to the Petting Zoo People trope page. Honestly have no idea what they're implying with it.
"...exist in Real Life"
Wait, what? Are there areas of the world where bird-men exist or something that I'm not aware of?

Apparently someone must have information about a secret place where anthropomorphic animals live that we don't.
I think it was supposed to be meant that it's in works which are a normal human universe with a Petting Zoo Person? Really badly worded if so.
If real Petting-Zoo People existed in the same world as us, things would get complicated.

"Coffee! Coffeecoffeecoffee! Coffee! Not as strong as Meth-amphetamine, but it lets you keep your teeth!"So, quick question to those who have been active furries longer than I have: What're your guys opinions on Sofurry and Fur Affinity? From what I've seen of them they seem like pretty alright sites, but I've heard some mixed things about them, and I'd like to hear some opinions before I decide to make myself a more permanent member of either of them.
(Admittedly I'm posting this partially just to try to bring back some more life into this thread, but I am genuinely curious.)
I'd be curious about that as well, though perhaps for reasons I might not be allowed to discuss here. Aheh.
So Furry was borne out of Yiffstar way Back In The Day™. That was my first site at the ripe old age of 16 before I was banned for being underage :P. Sofurry is more general purpose than Yiffstar ever was, so I don't know if they still have the age limit, I haven't looked into it that heavily.
The beef a lot of People have with furaffinity is that the mods and admins are rather unprofessional, there's basically no transparency, and very little accountability. The site itself is very old, and despite numerous facelifts, the core coding hasn't really changed in years. Because of this, it's slow, and about as secure as a lockbox on a parkbench. Combine this with things like "Six months and a trouble ticket hasn't even been reviewed, never mind worked on" and the combative attitude that the site staff get into, it's not a great place to be on the higher levels. its only saving grace really is that it's so old that almost EVERYONE is on it.
"Coffee! Coffeecoffeecoffee! Coffee! Not as strong as Meth-amphetamine, but it lets you keep your teeth!"I didn't even know So Furry and Yiffstar existed. I guess I can glean what the latter is about. What about Weasyl?
I'm getting the feeling that Furaffinity's a case of "It kinda sucks but so many people use it (and only it) that it's a necessary evil to deal with unless you want to get closed off to a significant percentage of artwork and people in the fandom." That sound accurate?

I visit fA regularly. Most of the arguments against it involve it's recent policies against cub.
I'm not well-informed enough on the issue to make a judgement.
I've only heard of SoFurry recently, so I don't have an opinion on it.
What I'm confused about is, what the hell is that "Patreon" site that's stealing all the artists all of a sudden?

"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerPatreon is a general crowdfunding sites for ongoing payments to continual projects. A lot of Youtubers use it, including its cofounder Jack Conte, a musician who does a lot of interesting stuff with his music videos.
Ah. I thought it was yet another rival art sites.
I hate that there's so many rival art sites because I have to get an account for each, and every, one and check each, one, daily or I miss out on all the everything.

I'd give out my account, but I'm horrible at art and not really passionate enough to improve.
I am proud of one pic I did depicting an anthro Ghost Missingno., but as 1, it's in the same gallery as a ton of glaringly bad stuff, and 2) she's naked, so I couldn't link it if I wanted to, I can't show it off.

The "anime" elf they show in the trailer really freaks me out.
Though I kind of want to get it just so I can skype people as a burger.
