It's odd. It's like he is making fun of how he usually portrays women.

I wouldn't have thought he could make fun of himself like this after the last few years.

Maybe it's just because she is a year and always end up old and frail. But maybe something happened to make him rethink what he's doing. I haven't minded a lot of his recent stuff that wasn't blatant propaganda.

Heck even the recent slick stuff has been pretty harmless.

Him being able to poke fun at his own female heroes is a huge improvement in his storytelling capabilities. The story is still shit, but at least it's funny.

It's something he hasn't been able to do since the Sisterhood showed up!

Actually, he has poked fun at Xanthe a few times before already, usually through Nana verbally taking her down a notch.

Which honestly BARELY even counts in my book. Most of that was basically the standard Grandma "good for you dear" material, and came literally YEARS after Xanthe showed up.

2017 here in comparison was only introduced a few weeks ago and while Tats shilled her as hard as he ever has for his "Sheroes", it didn't take him NEARLY so long to have jokes at her expense, and in honestly much harsher ways than Xanthe has ever received.

I thought one of her first appearances was amusing, because it made her look like an obnoxious, judgmental busybody. (Come to think of it, she is an obnoxious, judgmental busybody.)

In fact, any time Xanthe tells someone "Stay strong, sister!" there's a good chance she's being an over-the-top jerk.

Well, that's because that was how she was introduced, when Tats was still willing to mock extreme ideologies of any stripe. Xanthe was first mocked as a radfem caricature, and then became a straight example of one, albeit a distorted one.

What's amazing is how fast that change happened. It started with LITERALLY the strip right after that!

And then four strips after the first Xanthe comic Tats went nuts.

Okay, that was our introduction to Absinthe, who seemed to be pretty good at fondling herself. So how did she become Miss Pure-and-Innocent?

And ... what happened to the Devil Girl in red? Why haven't we seen anything of her since this page? Has Tats forgotten about her?

Absinthe met Femnique, a girl who is such a douche anyone around her automatically look good in comparison. Plus, she turned out to have zero brain power and no real clue about how to be evil, so yeah.

As for Red, beats me, maybe she's tied up in the basement by Big S for giggles or she got a promotion for her good work that Sunday night and now runs the Stripper Club in the Bombf district.

As for today... Not only is it filler, its dumb filler. Okay, So we just had a fight in the Bombf District, a store window got smashed and an old lady is dragging a heavy weapon across the road to smash more windows and steal the merchandise inside.

So where's the cops? Where is the big burly security demon whose job it is to stop this stop from happening?

How does a frail old lady like MMXVII even intend to use that mace to smash a window when she can't even lift it off the ground for a split second?

It's like a comic strip version of those overly-long gags that Family Guy sometimes uses. Like this one:

I remain hopeful that Absinthe is in fact a very accomplished, very evil Devil Girl, and is in a lesbian relationship with Fauxnique to lure her into eternal damnation. It makes far more sense than having Absinthe be naive and innocent. Who cares if that was Tats' intention or not?

But Femnique had already dammed herself at that point.

Don't forget she met her lesbian lover after she got a check from the devil for helping to send a million souls into hell with her booty, she also saw her best friend was possesed by a demon only to decide to ignore it all the instant she joined the cult of feminism.

It would be amusing to see Ms. MMXVII narrowly escape Death time after time for the next two weeks ... only to have MechaPimp's foot squish her flat on January 1.

Took a look at the calendar just now and I think I know why Tat's seems to be stalling for time with this sudden turn of the story line. December 31st is a Sunday and I bet he has some big, colorful end of the line page waiting for MMXVII, the problem is his grand year of the feminists big win arc ran of steam too fast.

There is only so much you can do after all when you want to point fingers at guilty people but can't actually do that to avoid controversy with certain other people whom you need for support and who don't like it if you bring out the names of the actual guilty parties.

Anyway, I think he had a storyline like this planned ever since the election last year, but he couldn't find the right opening for it since nothing thrown at Trump seems to stick for long, every feminist protest march was tainted by controversy and then finally came the Me Too! campaign.

He jumped on that because A: time was running out and B: That one actually took off big time and stayed focused on the systemic abuse of women.Thus he went all out to show off how "badass" his little miss 2017 is since that's what he shilled her as. Sadly, as I said earlier, he ran out of material real fast due to no finger pointing, thus we keep getting filler strips with Sleaze, sad hooker and MMXVII can't lift the mace.

Hmm, looking at this filler strip and how it plays off, the more I feel like fembots in the bombf district are now an allegory for videogames. And given how the controller is used to move the fembot, which is stupid, and how people act like he's playing an arcade game, the more I think the Bombf Fembots is Tat's take on gamergate and the "gamers are racist, sexist and homophobic" narrative... As a male gamer, I now feel twice as insulted by this strip.

All the pimps and their giant robot stepped out for coffee and donuts, along with all the cops by the looks of things.

If some of these strips had been created months ago with the intention that they be run earlier in the year, then that might explain why Ms. MMXVII looks so young. Then when Tats adapted them to December and mixed in the confrontation with Death with additional strips, he was stuck with the youthful characterization of her.

I think what's hobbled him is the fact that some of the most prominent "woke" feminists have been revealed as enablers ... or at least they knew about the abuses and kept quiet. That includes a certain very well-known enabler.
