“No one is actually dead until the ripples they cause in the world die away” - Terry Pratchett
Besides, saying that he was the last great literary genius makes it seem like you don't have faith in humanity to produce more greats in the future, or that there aren't people right now who have the potential to become greats.
Also, this is the first time we've seen Crim in... how many months again? And he has no lines. He's posing for a painting. He's literally just a prop now.

Or he's just keeping his head down and doing as he's told rather than risk Xanthe's ire and losing Fuchsia
Why is posing for a woman wearing flowers on your head suddenly acceptable? I don't get it!
Probably S&M Gone Wrong Dom here believes that Criminy* is doing this just to be able to bed Fuschia.

... His name is Criminy, not Seymour.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Sorry been so long since we've seen either of them. Also I made that at like 2 in the morning my brain was shot, will fix it now.
@ danime91 The world fantasy award was recently changed so that it would no longer look like HP Lovecraft because of Lovecraft's views on race.
An award that was designed around on of the most influential authors in the world, who almost literally created entire genres and subgenres of stories, and they change it up because he held views that were the standard in the early 1900's.
So no, I don't have very high hopes for this generation of fiction writers. (Doubly painful for me to admit considering I'm writing my own book.)
That sounds more like you think society will not be able to properly recognize and acknowledge great authors anymore, rather than there simply being no more great authors.
And seriously, let's give Crim some lines, just so we can confirm that he actually still knows how to speak, and hasn't been rendered mute at some point during his absence from the comic.
I'm not so sure there's a difference in the grand scheme of things.
Again, Crim, like lil evil has become what tats views as a approved male/female relationship. I.e. completely subservient to the whims of his woman with little to no will of his own.
At least he's an object of adoration instead of scorn and contempt like poor Slick.

Was there another black kid getting killed recently? If there was, did this one at least NOT have a rap sheet thick enough to use as tank plating? Y'know, like the last two did?
Heck, even if that IS the case this is still stupid. I was paying attention to those messes, I had to go to less than mainstream sources to get anything beyond "Innocent man gunned down by racists cops" story. What Tats is telling here is pretty much the exact OPPOSITE to what most news sources were selling.
....Fuck it. I'm to pissed to come up with snark. I'll just go play a game about Actually Oppressed People, fighting Actual Oppressors that had it coming and Not being Complete idiots or assholes about. I.e. Persona 5
No.
Tats just hates cops.
Until he needs one.
because I imagine even if Tats got robbed blind and cops found his stuff and got it back, he'd still be a complete ingrate and bash them endlessly the second he has his stuff back, if not during the entire time they are working.

Tats tried so hard to give Ray-Ray innocent eyes that it kind of messed up his face. Each eye is as big as his mouth!
You might think Tats is trying to imply that Ray-Ray was shot while being innocent, but Tats has told us often enough that all men are scum worthy only of extermination, so he's clearly siding with the police here.
@Yamiblade
That game is both amazing and frustrating. So long Persona 4 golden "Farm the whole damn dungeon and get to 33 before facing the first boss. Hello to blowing your SP load and then having to leave the dungeon.
I don't think this is about cops shooting black people, but more about how these shootings are depicted by the media. And while Tats is exaggerating, this IS a real thing that the media do, conscious or otherwise. And yes, there is a stereotype around black men wearing hoodies being gang members, in the US at least. In the UK, wearing a hoodie is seen as being a "chav", a stereotype of anti-social teens. And before you think it can't be that bad, there is this and this story. And just read how this article is phrasing it. Part of it seems also that hoods and baseball caps prevent CCTV cameras from catching people's face, which turns an entirely different spin on things.
In short, this comic is about stereotyping in the media, and the influence this has on the public perception of black people.

Optimism is a duty.Going back to last week...
Nice find!
Just for fun: If you take everything literally and she's saying "This is for all those times you called me a beeyot", the comic not only shows it occurring exactly once, but Axebot wasn't even present for it to hear it.
On a more serious note, it also could have been an awesome moment for the Axebot if we saw it actually being abused by the robo-pimp and it actually be explained why a robot can experience suffering. In this case most of us didn't even remember the word being used to describe robots. I would like serious Sinfest a lot more if time was taken to establish the world as it is instead of it all being implied.

@Redmess: And yes, there is a stereotype around black men wearing hoodies being gang members, in the US at least.
Note that a hoodie also is being worn by Leon, the innocent young fellow who just happened to be carrying a Molotov cocktail when the Sambot made an emergency landing.
I thought the stereotype was color-coordinated bandanas and over-sized shirts with jeans sagging down to their knees.
