The Legend Of Zelda - General Thread

I'm noticing a lot of Mythology Gags in this game already. The mask on the wall, the name of the village, and the symbol on the pendant is the same as one of the songs in Ages IIRC.

It's also a general symbol of Farore. It was on one of the goddess pearls in Wind Waker as well.

Speaking of, has a concrete tie between the goddesses Farore, Din, and Nayru and the phenomenally powerful but still mortal humans of the same names ever been established?

Not to my knowledge.

Say, I've got the Eastern Palace Boss Key now, but it says there are still two regular chests I have yet to make appear, in the top left and right rooms of the second floor. How do I get them?

Man, this rabbit guy's kind of annoying. Not so much his character, which is pretty funny, but the fact that you have to rent your equipment from him. Please tell me you shake him off later.

You can buy the equipment permanently for a higher price. And you need to do that if you want to upgrade them.

Oh, you can do that right away? How?

Nah, you only get the opportunity to do that after the "between worlds" part of the game comes into play.

If I'm remembering correctly, you just do the same as you would to rent it, except you choose to buy it instead.

You can buy them after going to Lorule for the first time, IIRC.

I've bought everything except the Ice Rod myself.

Though I've only done one Lorule dungeon right now.

By the way, how do you upgrade stuff?

Mother Maiamai near the House of Gales will do it for you. Every time you find ten of her children, she'll upgrade one of your items.

Been loving the game so far, though I kinda preferred getting the key item for a dungeon inside the dungeon itself. I adore the merge-into-walls gimmick, my second favorite after the masks from Majora.

Postman outfit + Spinner = A fine display of Link's thighs.

So Zelda gets the Dominion Rod and and Ilia re-skin.

Does anyone think that representation seems to be focusing a bit too much Skyward Sword, Ocarina Of Time and Twilight Princess?

I mean, so far, all Wind Waker has gotten is....the Wind Waker. How come that game seems like it's being ignored?

Cause it's too cute and bright and cell-shaded.

Imagine Toon Link as a warrior.

I mean, he stabbed Ganon in the fucking face! The kid is hardcore!

And Tetra has always been pretty popular (the first Zelda to actually fight alongside Link in the final battle).

I'm wondering why that game is getting left out truthfully.

But I mean, beside all the other Warriors.

The contrast would be really weird...

Just checking here: ALTTP Link, Oracle Link, and LA Link are the same guy, yes? And ALBW Link is his descendant, and the "original" Link from the first two games is his descendant?

Right, not sure what we could add, I admit (most of the ones that are shared from game to game have already been included in some form or another) but I'm sure there's something I'm forgetting.
