Oh Gods, that Ring at Sam's feet.
Sam's instincts are to run for Claire and carry the girl away from that horrendous being, alternatively trying to stick an arrow on his eye. But still... the Ring landing just there is such a powerful maybe hint.

This can be a pivotal event in the Operation: Storyteller saga, not to mention the Struggle Of The Six chapter and the World Of Skara Brae game.
Who will triumph? Who will fall? Who will live, who will die? Only your writing and mine will tell, but one thing is certain: Your characters won't win this fight with brawn alone. And yes, that was a hint.

Yeah Sarge, I'm going to have to object to a few things.
James wasn't born in Tagana, his wife was (who also was a traveller) but James came from a hunter-gatherer tribe called Iron Claw. James made it his home because it's where his wife kept on stopping.

Tagana is the name of the Elven mage who teleported James back to his home town, not the name of the (as-yet-unnamed) town. And I called it his home town because it's where (presumably since his wife and children live there) he has his home, not becasue he was born there. Sorry for the confusion. I'll edit my post to make it clearer.
Also, I assume this town isn't very far from Glenarbour, right? In the same province, at least, if not the same county?
