Because Kinkajou told me to.
So yeah, anything about Final Fantasy! I guess this would make a good starting point: Which are your favorite games in the series and why?
My two all-time favorites are tied between Final Fantasy V and Final Fantasy IX. They're both very fun games that don't take themselves too seriously while still being legitimately emotional. On top of that, Zidane is my favorite Final Fantasy lead in the entire series. He's light-hearted, fun, and a generally nice guy to be around. FFV also has the advantage of having one of, if not the best, Job System in an FF game. Both FFV and FFIX make characters customizable while keeping them all unique in their own way. I'm also very fond of Final Fantasy I; it hasn't aged well, but it's classic, and like FFV, I played it tons as a kid.
I assume we'll drift around to various other FF-related discussions as the topic grows, right?

I’m almost done with Rebirth, basically at the point where I’m wrapping up all the remaining sidequests. The biggest shock of the game for me is hearing Crazy Chocobo of all tracks. Also I believe I’ve encountered the most brutal challenge in which you fight ten tonberries at once.

Still not a fan of action RPG's being the new direction, but the possibility of two kaiju-sized Ifrits having a punching contest in the middle of a ring of fire with Bonnie Tyler playing in the background has been rather persuasive.

Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).Aerith isn't all that hard to build up ATB for, though; just slap a Highwind Scarf on her, shoot a few bolts, then trigger her Radiant Ward. It literally turns her basic attack into a stagger-building machine gun that rapidly builds up ATB to the point that I can trigger Prayer every so often and not lose out on her offensive capabilities. Hell, you can even cast Haste on her and she'll practically never run out of ATB charges.
Hitokiri in the streets, daishouri in the sheets.Trailer for XVI’s Rising Tide DLC (spoilers for the main game) it releases on April 18th.

And still no pc release date…
We are just going to have for that to be realised for now.
Yoshi-p mentioned a few weeks ago that it’s still being worked on and will probably drop within the a year. So you’re gonna be waiting a bit, unfortunately.
They also showed of artwork for XVI’s Tonberries
They have mouths now.
This distresses me.

-Witty line-they went from a final fantasy monster to a darksouls enity, not a fan really.
New theme music also a boxI like them. Seeing stuff in new artstyles is fun.
Kind of loses the charm of the original. The irony of tiny knives being so deadly is gone.
Disgusted, but not surprisedSome more stuff from PAX, this time for XIV:
- XIV Dawntrail will release on July 2nd, with early access on June 28th
- The XVI crossover event will run from April 8th to May 3rd. Also XVI itself will be getting a Paladin Curtana weapon for Clive as well as some XIV tracks for the music player alongside its DLC
- Also you can get an Ark mount with the Dawntrail collector’s edition. As well as Zidane and Garnet Wind-up minions.
Yoshi-p also said there’s a reason for all the FF 9 references but it’s a secret.
I will not say "Not My Tonberries" because that's a dog whistly but I WANT MY CUTE TONBERRIES BACK.
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here.I keeping hearing then as 'Tom berries'
New theme music also a boxWe already had Yoda Tonberries so I'm not really fussed.
Life is more fun with infinite MP.Dont worry, VII Rebirth has you covered
Ironically I thought it was the VII Remake that redesigned the Tonberries that heavily, I thought it waS YET ANOTHER example of its failings, I am glad the remake did it right.
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here.tonberries should not have hair
New theme music also a boxDont you mean the "Tom Berries"
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here.I need Mecha Tonberry
Mileena MadnessThis is not the first time they've gone for making the pugs more creepy and unnerving
concept for Tonberries in XII: Fortress
would have fit Tactics/ Ivalice's flavor
I find it interesting that Biggs gets Zack's original death (killed midsentence, via headshot) and Dyne suffers Zack's revised death from Crisis Core (gunned down fighting multiple waves of Shinra troops).
