Because Kinkajou told me to.
So yeah, anything about Final Fantasy! I guess this would make a good starting point: Which are your favorite games in the series and why?
My two all-time favorites are tied between Final Fantasy V and Final Fantasy IX. They're both very fun games that don't take themselves too seriously while still being legitimately emotional. On top of that, Zidane is my favorite Final Fantasy lead in the entire series. He's light-hearted, fun, and a generally nice guy to be around. FFV also has the advantage of having one of, if not the best, Job System in an FF game. Both FFV and FFIX make characters customizable while keeping them all unique in their own way. I'm also very fond of Final Fantasy I; it hasn't aged well, but it's classic, and like FFV, I played it tons as a kid.
I assume we'll drift around to various other FF-related discussions as the topic grows, right?

The girl in the trailer is your third story party member.
It even shows her with the exact same graphic as the other two. You just don't get her until the second island in game, and they only wanted to show early early game footage.
Several of the top tier mirages are also women, including Lightning and dozens of original ones.

No, that does not appear to be the case looking at the gameplay and story elements portrayed.
More than likely its exactly like the other mobile game and the lone girl is just a Damsel in Distress again.

I've played the game - she has just as much story prominence as the two guys, but it takes a while for you to get her. I have no idea what you're moaning about in this case, there are just as many playable women in this game as there are men.

Final Fantasy has a vast number of female leads. And very rarely are they damsels. And quite of few of them would take issues being treated as such. Is this what people call "Lightning Syndrome"?

Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans. After Mobius and FFXV Square is establishing a pattern. And that trailer was following that pattern as it didn't show her playable at all as well as the fact that the only art with her they showed just had her getting rescued by the two guys from some tiger.
Its extremely shocking that she is actually playable considering SE's recent history. Characters from previous games are the only ones that seem to get a pass.

So an entire two games out of the six trillion Square have made is a pattern?
Nevermind Mobius has only has a cast of like 5 people and most of them are women
Or that World of Final Fantasy has a male hero, a female hero, a female mascot, and more female classic heroes revealed so far than male.
Let's all debate who was the main character of FFX, Tidus or Yuna.
...that's all I got. I haven't played new SE game in forever. The ones I have played have had...uh...well, three of them had female main characters, I guess. X-2, FFXII and FFXIII-2. Oh yeah and that other game with She-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. (literally because her goddam name is Clair, not Lightning)

I feel pretty comfortable calling Yuna the overall protagonist of X- Tidus is just getting dragged along for most of the game and even when he does start showing more initiative it's mostly in the interest of helping Yuna.
I sure said that!I think Tidus was more of the protagonist than Yuna especially when his dad was revealed to be Sin and he as kind of a ghost in the game.
"Thanos is a happy guy! Just look at the smile in his face!"Tidus' presence is mostly not a factor until the encounter with Yunalesca, and even then the decision to rebel against the system ends up being made by Yuna and the rest, too.
I sure said that! There is such a thing as two protagonists without one of them having to one-up the other in protagonism :P
Sale blog post. It's huge!
Edit: Brave Exvius is out.
Edit 2: FFVII!Monopoly on the way.

I find the fact that the Avalanche crew are pieces and you build Mako reactors greatly offensive... Did they even play the game?
There better be special rules to blow them up!

So it's not actually Monopoly? What a misleading name.
Edit: New RK Dungeon is XIV themed.
Edit 2: More WoFF screenshots.

Tidus serves for most of the game as an Audience Surrogate. Also also: "This... is my story.
They're both the main characters. Yuna is The Hero in the traditional sense and Tidus as a viewpoint character. Yuna is involved with the stopping the corrupted organized religion and Tidus is involved with stopping Sin. The game's problem is that is focuses on Yuna's plot way too much and not enough on Tidus.
I honestly think that they're both great characters either way, IMO.
You gotta start somewhere.> Downloads Brave Exvius
> Emergency maintenance
> Can't even see how long it's going on for
Well that's a terrific start.
Same. I just want to give it a shot, too.
AO 3 profile: goodygoody19Seems to be working now.
WTH Another Square game without a playable female characters and two guys this time?....
