Because Kinkajou told me to.
So yeah, anything about Final Fantasy! I guess this would make a good starting point: Which are your favorite games in the series and why?
My two all-time favorites are tied between Final Fantasy V and Final Fantasy IX. They're both very fun games that don't take themselves too seriously while still being legitimately emotional. On top of that, Zidane is my favorite Final Fantasy lead in the entire series. He's light-hearted, fun, and a generally nice guy to be around. FFV also has the advantage of having one of, if not the best, Job System in an FF game. Both FFV and FFIX make characters customizable while keeping them all unique in their own way. I'm also very fond of Final Fantasy I; it hasn't aged well, but it's classic, and like FFV, I played it tons as a kid.
I assume we'll drift around to various other FF-related discussions as the topic grows, right?

Or Galuf.
You gotta start somewhere.Give Galuf Unyielding Fist as an EX skill. Makes him completely invulnerable for a limited time, but he takes all the damage he took once the status ends.
I have a message from another time...I'm hard pressed what I want more: a V remake or a VI remake.
Warrior to the very end! My tumblr, dood! And VI barely even got any supplementary material, at all
Warrior to the very end! My tumblr, dood!Wait.
Are the Default Games seen as straight up sequels? I thought they were more along the lines of successor games.
Hell, even that's generous. I mean, do they take place in the same world as Final Fantasy V or something?
One Strip! One Strip! No, they aren't and don't.
What we mean is that, mechanically, they're successors to FFV's job system and combat.
I have a message from another time...@FFVI: This means we need a game where people draw their power from corpses. There have been worse premises.
De Romanīs, lingua Latina gloriosa non fuī.Tales of Symphonia?
I have a message from another time...Final Fantasy X fits the bill quite well.
Life is more fun with infinite MP.Man, the X-related games had some great animation.
Also, Last Mission is already proving to be horrendously tedious and I'm only ten floors in.
That's Roguelikes for you.

Life is more fun with infinite MP.This morning, I actually saw Lightining Returns: Final Fantasy XIII in a pawn shop. I'm actually thinking about getting it. I haven't played Final Fantasy XIII or XIII-2, so I don't know if getting the game would be a good idea.
It will pretty much spoil everything in the previous two games. It doesn't play at all like your standard FF - it's more like the latest Tales games in its intensity. You'll be hard pressed to find a better soundtrack, though.
Life is more fun with infinite MP.Play the trilogy in order lol.
You gotta start somewhere.Since you found it at a bargain price (I'm assuming), you should get it anyway.
Life is more fun with infinite MP.How cheap is it? I would say buy the trilogy if ya can, its really cheap on PSN and PC.
If ya cant I would say its still worth it, the game is extremely unique.
And an ending which rivals Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.
Life is more fun with infinite MP.Agreed, but if you can't get the trilogy, be sure to at least read a summary of XIII & XIII-2. Or just get XIII-2 if you can, it explains what you need to know from XIII well enough and is also worth playing.
I'd say the ending is (major spoilers for LR and/or a certain Nintendo-exclusive JRPG I can't name outside of spoilers for reasons if you've only played one of the two) more akin to Xenoblade Chronicles. Like, really, really incredibly similar now that I think about it.
