That's understandable. But not everyone really saw it that way I guess. If you ever play the Solas romance you'll find that he does get pretty flirtatious and sexual at times. It just mostly takes a back seat to nerding out about magic and ripping out his girlfriend's heart.

Personally I romanced him on my canon playthrough and I don't really have a preference as to whether or not they had sex. I don't think it's as integral as it would be for Zev or Bull but I don't think it's impossible either.

Most of the people that I saw who were upset they didn't get the option for sex were people who were more upset that they didn't get to see Josephine's tits and that really bugged me.

Same.

Yeah... seeing Josie's bare breasts just seems... wrong, with the way her romance plays out (sorta like a Disney Princess kind of thing). I was actually pretty happy with the way her final scene plays out. Honestly the only thing I would have asked for was more cuddling-by-the-fireplace scenes instead of not-so-discretely going to the garden gazebo to make out like horny teenagers.

I wouldn't have cared if Josephine's, or Solas', romance arcs had sex or visible nudity in them because I'm not super into the romance concept like 99% of Bioware fandom. I just think it's really immature to whine about the lack of nudity in them.

Like I said. Lusty creatures.

I really do wish Bioware would cut back though. I like the romances but sometimes I feel like it's all anyone cares about.

You discover that your boyfriend was lying about being the old god of a forgotten empire, that he's brought the end of the world once and regrettabily feels it's his duty to bring it another time, that even if you still love him you will be forced to fight him with everything you've got as one of the leaders of the current world.

Shipper reaction: YES BUT WHAT ABOUT THE SEX.

Oh, and I wholeheartedly oppose the idea that it would be wrong for us to see Josephine's boobs. Or anyone's boobs, actually.

(As you fight to keep the reign of a growing organization and to keep hordes of demons at bay, you barely have the time for personal relationships with your closest allies and advisors. After the ultimate victory, you finally step into your room with your lover for a few hours of well-earned intimacy and rest.

Okay, "wrong" seems to be the wrong word for what I said previously; more of... I guess out of place would be more fitting? I never really minded that Josie's romance path had no nudity whatsoever, though there were a lot of people going "WHERE ARE MY ANTIVAN BOOBS."

The only thing I'm mad about with the Josephine romance is that I never actually "sealed the deal" because I didn't know how to. Then the game wouldn't let me continue it after the final battle. By Trespasser, my Inquisitor and her were apparently just friends now.

Fuck yu, Bio Ware and your arbitrary bullshit.

For once, I'm with Nik.

I was truly pissed off after I played through Trespasser on my "canon" character and came to find out that I couldn't wander the country after it was completed. I didn't get to kill all the High Dragons. I didn't get to complete everyone's loyalty missions. When was the last time an RPG didn't let you keep playing after the end?

You do, after beating Corypheus. Trespasser warns you before starting it that it's the Playable Epilogue and that you couldn't continue playing after it was finished.

I mean, after everything that happens in Trespasser, it wouldn't make sense to be able to just return to what you were doing. How do you expect a Warrior or Rogue Inky to be able to properly fight with only one hand, anyway? And any personal quests for your Inner Circle would have likely resolved themselves one way or another in the two years that passed between the base game and Trespasser, mate. I doubt any of the Inner Circle would have been willing to wait two bloody years for the Inquisitor to do their quests, friendships notwithstanding.

If we're talking game mechanics-wise, then yeah, Trespasser explicitly warns you that there's no going back once you start it.

I myself wasn't talking about post Trespasser, I was talking about post beating Corypheus. Either you finish your romance before that or it's like teh game says it never happened, no matter how far along it was.

My reply was meant for sarcastibot. I do agree with the criticism regarding an inability to complete some companion quests after Doom Upon All the World is finished, but I also understand why Bioware did this. Most of the companion quests are related to the fight against Corypheus, so after he's defeated there's no real point in completing any of them.

Most, not all though. Josephine's is one of the few companion quests that had nothing to do with Corypheus, so her's should have be doable post-game.

Well in Bioware's defense they probably did it that way so that if any romance cutscene presupposes you're still fighting Corypheus then your LI won't look like a lunatic referencing the imminent looming threat of the man you diced up into Fade bits several months ago.

I mean can you continue ANY character content once you defeat Corypheus? Or are you just stuck at the relationship level you were pre-ending?

EDIT: Oh Very Melon got to it before me.

Well.

Fine then.

So I noted earlier I only played Inquisition once, chose Templars, and so Calpernia was The Dragon for me.

But I have watched cutscenes on YT and I think Samson seems more interesting.

Who do you prefer and why?

I never completed my templar ally file but Samson wasn't terribly interesting. I mean maybe if he'd actually been a bit sympathetic but he was just kind of a dick.

I find the Red Templars more interesting than the Venatori.

I prefer Calpernia's motivations over Samson's. Calpernia has a noble goal in mind, if a twisted method of how to achieve it. Samson, on the other hand, is looking for nothing more than revenge, and pledges his life to Corypytits because the latter promises it to him. As characters, I find Calpernia the more sympathetic and fleshed-out character; not surprising, since Bioware has plans for her in the fourth game.

For enemies, though, the Red Templars are definitely more varied and interesting than the Venatori's "teleport and bug you with spells" shtick.

Don't be silly, it's not teleportation. It's turning invisible and running really fast to another point!

[lol] I can just imagine the Venatori being forced to do running laps just so they can do that.
