A fandom thread for a sitcom that doesn't exist

Inspired by both the other "fandom that doesn't exist" games and a recent video that tried to make a cohesive timeline of the canon of Bojack Horseman's Horsin' Around.

This is a thread in which we behave like a typical fandom, discussing the developments of our favorite sitcom... except we make up the events of the show as we go along. We can reference characters and events, and fandom discourse and shipping dynamics and everything, but the actual show must remain a Noodle Incident.

Rules:

Don't break the facade, obviously.

Try to stay consistent. Add whatever new information you want, but don't change the entire direction of the show once it's established.

Meanwhile, I will try and make a master document that will display this show's canon. Got it? Good.

So I've just started it and I find it quite funny. I enjoyed the episode where Darren has that mishap with a hippo, that was hilarious! The only issue is I find Mike a bit annoying. Does he get better as the show goes on?

I’d say Matt was a lot funnier than Darren in that scene.

Timmy was way funnier from seasons 1-7 now he is just guy with funny voice

I get that, but for me it actually had the opposite effect. Season 1 - 7 Timmy was fairly funny, but Season 8 onwards I just really found him funny. I don't really know why.

I find Timmy never fell off as a character.

Eh, I started to sour on Timmy's character after the third episode where he faked his death.

Yeah, I found the first time to be way funnier.

To answer your question King, honestly, he gets worse :/

What makes you say that?

Well, his romance arc with Bethany felt really forced, and in Season 7 I pretty much facepalmed when they got married.

On a side note, I really hope they bring Kyle back, he hasn't appeared in over three seasons.

Didn’t he move to Madagascar to avoid the IRS?

Kyle used to be a pretty neat character.

I remember that wedding causing quite a stir online.

I swear, people could not stop talking about it.

What do you guys think about Bethany? I saw a lot of people calling her annoying but I think she's mostly funny although sometimes she's too obnoxious and I like the running gag about her ex boyfriends.

The gag about the ex-boyfriends was funny up until the point they for some reason decided to make one of them a recurring character.

I remember when they introduced Howie into season 8. Have these shows learned nothing from shoehorning in cute kids? It never works and Howie became a Scrappy for the ages. I do feel bad for his actor though. The fans didn't really need to bully him. But it's good he got his life back on track.

Oh yeah Howie. I remember when they wrote him out by saying he faked his death to evade his taxes.

That was an episode for the ages!

I was gobsmacked when it came out.

Just saw the most recent episode. Can't believe they played the whole amnesia plotline straight, that's definitely the sort of thing they'd have mocked in season 2 or 3. Plus, Rebecca acted way out of character in Act One. The only time I laughed was at the ketchup gag. 3/10.

For me, that episode is more of a 4.5/10.

So, what else does anyone wanna talk about?
