Horror Story inspired by old power rangers episode.

Okay I watched a retrospective on Power Rangers in Space and was reminded of a pair of episode focused on the villains kidnapping people to digitize and turn into their minions (it was thwarted of course)

I was thinking about deriving a horror story from that concept (sans Sentai elements of course) and want to ask about ideas for developing it. With how machine learning and generative AI had pierced into discourse. I think those might make for valid themes for such a tale.

Well, if we're throwing machine learning into the concept, then the idea that comes to mind for me is that people are being digitised in order to feed a generative model that then produces new minions based on those digitised.

These new minions could be customised to a given situation, and might at times—uncannily—resemble their originals...
