Finally!
The bird finally got his cigars.
You guys think there’s enough for a page? Here’s a draft. Please contribute if you can.
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire."Crime thriller in Gotham" sounds like an interesting idea, in the same way police procedural in Gotham was an interesting idea.
Do we know if this is set before or after the events of the first film?

The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.Huh, this is still happening.
I'd say I wondered if it was quietly canceled, but that implies I hadn't forgotten it completely.
I suppose that I'm looking for some indication of something Batman-ish, other than the name "Penguin" itself.
(I say "the name", as this Penguin himself doesn't look all that different to a standard TV mobster.)
There is, granted, that one brief flash of someone undergoing what looks to be electroshock therapy. So maybe there's something here other than "a mob show, but with some Batman names"...

My Games & WritingI got the impression the plot was supposed to be the mob getting shaken up by a bunch of murders, so my brain went to “Penguin vs Holiday,” which I think would work. Maybe if they merge Holiday’s MO with Hangman’s motives, especially.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Hoping Battinson at least makes a cameo. Would be criminal not to have him.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."I mean, it's the Penguin: it'll be criminal either way! ;P
My Games & WritingI want to see a more Golden Age-style Penguin in live-action. I just don't think he's an interesting character if you remove the camp elements of his character and try to make him this faux Tony Soprano-esque gangster with a limp and a dramatic backstory. I guess we'll see.
Maybe the Danny Devito version left too strong an impression on me, but I find it hard to be excited about Colin Farrell's version.
Its been two years since The Batman and, hate to admit it, but my memory of The Penguin's role in that movie has already disappeared. If it were me I'd have made short films about Penguin, Catwoman, and Riddler leading up to the months of The Batman 2's release.
