The Ghoul-Getters! (RP/Interest Check)

In the mysterious town of Metus, built upon occult secrets, the unknown is common. There are hundreds of tales of horror found within its abandoned suburbs and structures. From it, a small group of people have come together in mutual love of the unknown (and their car) to investigate and film the town’s monsters. Who knows what creatures they’ll encounter in their travels?

Name: Cam Koder

Job within group: Cameraman

Appearance: Blonde hair and average build. He wears a yellow shirt that reads "I am a star" with a star on the bottom middle. Other than that, he wear blue short pants and red running shoes. When filming, he has a white backpack with him decorated with different charms sent to him by his very distant cousin (most of which protect or help him from something else, not the paranormal).

Personality: Off camera, he is chill and generally friendly. On camera, he is energetic and never misses an opportunity to ask for likes and subscribers even if he's being chased. Despite making a channel dedicated to investigating the paranormal, he is also ironically scared of it. He's also not that bright. One proof of this is that he does investigations at 3 am because of the many 3 am videos on the internet, which are obviously fake.

Backstory: Cam was born in a rich family, having parents who work at a news station as well as having siblings who are engineers. Cam was a bit different, as he never got nearly great achievements as the rest of his family. One day, Cam started watching videos related to the paranormal. His feed was then flooded with videos related to them. As he kept watching, he noticed something interesting about them: they were getting thousands of views! This then motivated him to start his own youtube channel dedicated to paranormal investigation. He hopes that one day through this, he can achieve something great just like the rest his family.

Tools: Filming Equipment: Handheld Camera, Flashlight, Drone, Standing Cameras (For monitoring an area) Self-Defense Equipment: Smoke Bomb, BB Gun, Divine Protection Charm (It acts as a portable shield), Evil Protection Charm (Allows Cam to sense malicious intent, not just to the paranormal but also humans)

Name: Sheila Bytes ((Real last name: Baciu))

Job within group: Website mistress and on-shoot maintain the group's electronics

Appearance: Sheila is early twenties and would be attractive except for her albinism; her skin is pale white and she has red eyes. She normally wears colored contacts to make her eyes look brown. She dyes her hair, usually black with a rainbow streak. Usually dressed in black cargo pants and gray tops, with a variety of snarky/geeky sayings on the tops. (Example: Take a JPEG, it'll last longer)

Personality: Sheila is cynical and snarky, extremely brilliant when it comes to technology and computers but also extremely socially awkward. She has several OCD traits.

Backstory: Sheila has a rare hereditary condition of albinism and iron deficiency. She has to drink special iron-rich / protein shakes regularly or get blood transfusions, and needs to avoid sunlight. (She gets sunburned extremely easily). She does not believe in the supernatural but joined the group because it was a way to make money that allowed her to work mainly at night.

Her mother died from drowning when she was young, (car drove off the side of a bridge and got stuck underwater) leaving Sheila with a phobia that means she refuses to ride on boats or cross bridges. Her father is extremely wealthy but emotionally distant, with Sheila growing up mostly at boarding schools and more time with servants then her father. After high school Sheila moved into her own rented home and started referring to herself as Sheila Bytes to distance herself from her father. Ace/Lesbian (Low sex drive, romantically interested in other women)), has a girlfriend in another state who Sheila mostly communicates with electronically.

Tools: Sheila has a customized laptop and keeps a variety of tools with her in her car or the group's van to repair electronics. For self defense she carries a taser. She is untrained in any form of hand to hand combat but is surprisingly strong, at about the level of a female weight lifter.

Spoilers: Sheila's father is a vampire who has never explained the family 'condition' to Sheila. He runs a large business empire and mainly drinks blood from willing and well paid donor. The medications Sheila takes for her anemia and OCD act to mask/suppress her latent vampiric abilities.

Name: Cole Hines (Why yes this is the same as that Cole Hines. How did you know?)

Job within group: The one behind the camera, the one who plans everything out.

Appearance: A tall man in his late-thirties to early-forties. He has pale skin and black hair that partially covers the right side of his face, including one eye. He also has an overbite. In terms of attire, he wears a trench coat and a fedora, both dark grey and looking like they'd been used for a long time. He also wears a pair of jeans and brown loafers.

Personality: He is calm, though somewhat pessimistic and easily annoyed, though nowhere near to the degree of Brooklyn Rage. He is jaded, as a result of his countless experiences with the paranormal. Nonetheless, he is enthusiastic about the field.

Backstory: Cole was born in September 1979 in a small town in Long Island. During his pre-adolescent life (roughly between 9-12), he developed an interest in the paranormal after reading about the topic in a book once. This prompted him to attend a summer camp with known paranormal activity at age 12. While there, he befriended several people slightly older than him. After founding a group of paranormal investigators and joining another one a few years later, he traveled to the town of Metus a few months ago upon hearing about its paranormal activity.

Tools: Has a box of varied gadgets that he'd gathered over the course of some 20-30 years. It is unknown what exactly he has in it.

Works for me! I was thinking more of a "behind the scenes" kind of person anyway.

Accepted, except for the cameraman position. Letsgetcreative also has a character with that job. If they’re just the planner/host, that works.

Hi guys! If you want your character to have the occupation that my character has, feel free to let me know. I actually have a lot of original character concepts that I can use for this rp, so don't feel so bad about it.

(I actually realized this a while after making Cam's profile. Some character concepts I have in mind are a childish and naive vampire, a cold but secretly lonely electromancer and a somewhat prideful chemist/alchemist. Let me know if you guys would prefer those instead of the one I came up with.)

Enough time has passed. I’ll start the Ghoul-Getters RP tomorrow or so.
