In the series finale of the acclaimed medical comedy-drama St. Tropesius, we find out Tropey Pestwall, chief doctor at the eponymous hospital, was actually playing with LEGO toys, as the last scene shows a young Tropey playing with minifigs reminiscent of the staff in a LEGO model of the hospital.

We'll be doing something similar to the Tommy Westphall Universe, but you can crossover with whatever you want! Games, movies, books, novels, you name it!

You can even make up your own media and have it crossover, and even have crossovers from that!

You can crossover pieces of media however you like as well. (Fictional brands, cameos, crossover episodes, etc.)

I will make a master document documenting every crossover.

EDIT: Spin-offs are included.

Tropey’s apprentice, Carl Lumberburger, became a recurring character on the cop show Angus P.D. It was about an Irish-American cop with a troubled past trying to rebuild his corrupt department in Guliani’s New York City.

Classic early 90s copaganda, but I still got a soft spot for it thanks to my parents.

How long did that show run?

Did Angus P.D. have any crossovers of its own?

The show lasted around four seasons from 88-92. It would have lasted longer before the tragic passing of lead star Michael Dane at 41.

Before his passing though Dane made a few crossovers to promote the show, most famously the law dramedy Framed For Family.

Basically it was if Succession was a soap opera. An old family of lawmakers have to deal with the death of their monarch of a father, and their various issues. Angus was there for a story arc involving Harriet (the eldest daughter) going through menopause. Given it was on its last legs on its tenth season, I’m kinda glad it got cancelled soon afterwards.

A few of the characters before that moved to its spin-off and one of St. Tropeswhere’s rival show, Gideon’s Struggles.

How long did Framed For Family run, and what about its spin-off?

Can you tell me more about Gideon’s Struggles?

Framed for Family was at one point more popular than Cheers when it debuted in 1982. It pushed the bar with its social commentary on class, including being one of the first series to have an episode about abortion.

But by 1992, its glory days were long behind it, and after He Who Shall Not Be Named got caught in scandal the show got cancelled. Its spin-off Gideon’s Struggles was about Framed’s breakout star, Cousin Eddie Gideon played by Charles Hajara. The illegitimate son of Matriarch Agnes, he was forced to stay in Louisiana to avoid public shame from the family. Now successful defending big oil tycoons, he wreaked havoc on Agnes and the until returning to New Orleans to settle old scores with the help of his Sexy Secretary Colleen.

Most of the best cast moved to Struggles in 1986, and that’s a huge talking point on whether it destroyed Framed I won’t get into.

What other crossovers did Angus P.D. do?

My brother had the 1996 Angus P.D. movie on DVD. In one scene Harriet from F4F had a small speaking part, giving Angus an important lead for the A-story. Classic example of returning the favour, despite the circumstances.

We were just talking about the crossovers Angus P.D. did for promotion.

Got any?

Angus P.D. was huge in the UK, and I'd heard about some crossovers, but the one springing to mind right now is Angus's part in a 1990 episode of Cates and Locke. The title characters wound up in NYC for a case and Angus ends up assisting them. I don't know the finer details since I'm not familiar with the latter show, and it's been a few years since I saw the episode, but apparently it's a fan favourite.

I do know that they re-aired that episode shortly after Dane's passing with a tribute to him at the end.

Crime drama than ran for four seasons from 1989 to 1992. The title characters, Paul Cates and Cheryl Locke, are cousins with a classic Red Oni, Blue Oni dynamic. It was set in Upstate New York but, as is the case with the crossover episode, it moved downstate when the plot necessitated it. Grew the beard in Season 3 after Craig Hahn joined the writing team.

It got a revival in the form of a 2012 limited series, but that's mainly seen as So Okay, It's Average. There was a Call-Back to the Angus cameo, though.

Wait, didn’t Cates and Locke do a rap song for a Comic Relief album along with some other shows?

Not in the show itself, but Cheryl Locke later had a crossover cameo in another TV show that Hahn wrote for. Only it couldn't be more tonally different...

Silver Pistol, which had 2 seasons running between 1998 and 2000, was an affectionate parody of the crime drama genre as it was at the time. The episode in question spoofed the exact average C&L episode, complete with the bickering detectives, Sound Only Deaths and a car chase sequence like you get ten times a season in the source material. Of course, Locke was on hand to try to be the voice of reason. Key word being "try" in this case, as she is overwhelmed by the spoof taking every trope associated with her cases and turning them on their heads.

Incidentally, Locke's actress, Marybeth Stevens, seems to be a fixture of Hahn's TV works. It makes sense, since the two of them were reportedly good friends.

Oh gosh, the rap. Who knew Jon Travis Jr. (Cates) could kind of spit bars? That song is a huge meme, even years after C&L faded from popularity.

Edd Pope from Excellence and Zeal (played by Lee Blyton) had the most So Bad, It's Good performance on that record, though.

[up][up][up]Not really. The show got prematurely cancelled after the head of BBC changed. Shame too since it ended on a cliffhanger (with main character Bronze Stranglezon Thelma & Louise-style driving into the BBC Quarry after finding out everyone on the squad was a secret communist). They did a movie a year later, but it completely ignored the finale and was a cameo cesspool, complete with Edd Pope, king of cop shows taking off time from Excellence and Zeal to be the Big Bad Hank Libra.

I like Silver Pistol: Movie Edition, but most of the more hardcore fans thought it took itself too seriously.

Comedy-drama set on the campus of De Montfort University in Leicester, England. (The title takes its name from the English translation of its Latin motto.) Aired on Channel 4 from 1998 to 2004. Popular with teenagers and young adults because they related to the student characters, hence they got more attention in the show's later years. And hence Pope did that. Has a vicious Fandom Rivalry with Hollyoaks, probably because the E&Z fans blame it for its cancellation.

I do remember one student character graduating in E&Z, then going on to have a role in a different show, but I can't remember what it was...
