I think every character has unique achievements, but those only appear in the list if you own them. And if they do appear, you can unlock them with your friend list.

Topaz has one that involves using Numby to defeat other Trotters, and I don't think there's any game modes that let you borrow her to fight those. It's also the only achievement I know that's character-specific and not hidden for extra annoyance.

You can do any character specific achievements with borrowed characters or Trial characters.

Ah, yes, but that would likely require SU, I don't think you can find many trotters next to where you can use friends' characters (and you would have to actively not touch them in hopes of them popping up when you borrow Topaz). I don't know if you can see a trotter in Topaz' trial.

Speaking of the IPC, Aventurine is even more busted than I thought in Simulated Universe. As it happens, like Ruan Mei, he has "special versions" of some events that give a bigger rewards - and his is turning the IPC event where you get to pick a Curio into one where you can both get the "no blessing but double money" Curio, and the one that adds 6% of your tally each time you enter a new zone.

Needless to say, you may very quickly be swimming in fragments with almost too much to spend.

The new SU mode will allow borrowing of characters.

Poor Boothill's overworld projectile range got nerfed from 40m to 16m during the beta. Guess the devs realized it'd make Trotter Catch way too easy (not that it was already easy enough with Sparkle or Asta). Boothill -> Shoemound.

Also, Robin's song got stuck in my head ever since the leaks (as far back as Acheron's official release).

The trailer for 2.2 dropped.

Damn is this really looking up to be ominous like hell, it feels like the stakes are even bigger than in the Luofu.

I'm also guessing that the IPC plotline is reserved for 2.3.

Both banner characters are physical, but the big boss is weak to fire/electric/imaginary?

Still no companion missions. I feel like the epilogue in 2.3 is going to be a lot more important than the Luofu's

I imagine the final boss is going to be fought with a team of Firefly and Harmony!Trailblazer in the story proper since leakers said the latter is one of the best supports for the former.

And yeah, the epilogue is bound to be pretty important given that Jade and Topaz are not around in that trailer and Aventurine outted the Trailblazer as a Stellaron holder before his boss fight.

It's just, they generally try to make a patch's new characters useful for that patch's content, and Boothill doesn't really look like he will be

Potentially related, I understand dataminers found a boss fight for Sunday

If Sunday is weak to physical then it would more sense since Robin is, to my knowledge, a physical support character.

Boothill can add Physical weakness as one of its mechs I think.

I’m a bit late on the event modes, but man I’m having a blast with that stupid Hanu/Turbohamster mini-game.

As for the plot… I’m trying to gather what I understand of it, they went a bit overboard with all the factions. =.=" So…

And I’ve missed a bunch of other stuff but I think that’s the gist of it?

Sunday and the Family aren't really different things

Yes and No. Sunday is the representative of the family but the last update has made it clear that their general shenanigans is less important to him right now

I mean, the divide is effectively moot since we don't actually get to see the other Heads and that doesn't seem due to change in the next patch.

We do get some glimpse of that in the Vignettes event though, given that the unchecked collapse of the Dreamscape is looming over everyone involved in Penacony and that Siobhan is the next-in-line as head of the Iris family.

In this sense, Sunday and Robin are outliers because they were involved in getting to the root of the issue instead of covering it up like the other heads have been doing so far.

So, to continue on that "Aventurine is busted in SU" comment I had earlier, it turns out...

• That all bugs in Swarm disaster are weak to Imaginary, so that's nice. And considering Xueyi returns next patch...Aventurine + E6 Xueyi = dead bugs everywhere.
• That he demolishes Destruction trotters (especially if you play Elation) because roughly 71% of the time he will counter the counters with a follow-up that replenishes shields on the team
• That he makes great use of that one usually hated Destruction blessing (the one that shares damage) because, again, it means any hit taken by any character will add 5 to his FUA counter (which triggers when it reaches 7 and replenishes shields)

He's already obviously excellent in Preservation runs due to the insane AOE shields he gives, but he might also excel in Elation and Hunt runs due to how much he can either abuse FUA blessings or deal with the pesky Destruction trotters that can be quite annoying to heal through. He's also not too shabby on Erudition because more ults = more FUA = more shields.

Speaking of the Dreamscape's collapse, one of the new areas for 2.2 as mentioned on the official site is the most primordial or true form of the Dreamscape according to its description

We also know via notes that Sunday was already trying to investigate and find Something Unto Death even before his Sister was killed. Her death was simply the final straw for him to force the killer out into the open and ignore the Family’s orders to pretend nothing is wrong.

Alright, I finished all paths at difficulty 5 in Swarm Disaster, I only have to light 2 hidden paths and be done with it.

It required a lot of calculations, some relic switches, and many rerolls to begin with the best cur...

No, I'm kidding. It was a buddy movie named "Xueyi and Aventurine murder bugs". Aventurine trivializes all paths, yes, even Destruction (as soon as you get 6 blessings and pick the one that turns your unit's HP into shields, so you can abuse all the buffs given by the path's blessings).

I have gained a whole new appreciation for Follow-Up Attacks now.
