But man I would love a Trails crossover with Star Rail, the game borrowed soooooo many mechanics from Trails and generally seems like they are literally trying to get every Trails VA they can in game. Not to mention the in game refrences such as the 50 Credits achievement...

So I've been playing this game since 2.1 dropped, marathoning through the entire main story in a week, got a REALLY good relic, albeit a 4-star one, and Aventurine went from "literally the reason I picked the game up, hot gambler will be mine" to my favorite character in the game writing-wise. Who knew I would end up liking the guy even more?

Also, if I end up saying things like "artifacts" when I mean "relics", I've played a lot of Genshin, that's why.

To be fair, HSR does borrow a lot from GI for its gameplay and lorewise is set in the same universe as it alongside Honkai Impact 3rd, just in different worlds from both due to the concept of the Imaginary Tree

Also what do you think of Aven's partner, Dr. Ratio, since he's still given for free?

He's just as great, and as much of a Disc-One Nuke as I expected he would be. I definitely plan for him to be a mainstay.

I managed to beat MOC 12 for the first time (and deathless - although I had to bring Fire Stelle and Lynx to the second fight and some characters barely made it out alive).I might even manage to squeeze 33 total stars if I give MOC 11 another, more careful try.

I am in absolutely no hurry to face the two new bosses in the next installment of the Simulated Universe though, especially Sam. I guess he could be an incentive to use the Destruction path and exploit lowered HP...but Blade (my one decently built destruction unit) is basically useless in that fight due to not using SP to attack, and the AOE means that glass cannon attackers can very well get demolished whenever the boss' turn comes.

Alright, I'm here to ask: Where exactly is it stated that Sam hates/laments the fact that he's only good for mass destruction?

I've checked the story scripts and the closest thing I got is this:

Sam: I don't know people's hearts as well as he and Kafka do, nor do I have a specialty like Silver Wolf and Blade. Most of the things that I'm good at only apply to villains who need no mercy.

This sounds more like acknowledging his own limitations/incapabilities rather than being morally conflicted/unhappy to me

I also don't find anything resembling Firefly insisting all the moments together with TB weren't an act - at most, Sam only hinted that he had tried acting outside the script's constraints before, and only within context of his mission

I guess it's people just assuming Firefly has to be a precious little cinnamon roll and being Sam has to be a curse and not something she decided or even embraced.

honestly it sounds like Firefly perceives herself in a way as the hero of her tale, just one with a tragic backstory. She is effectively a Kamen Rider after all.

I have to say, the memes about Clara and Topaz's VAs thirsting for Aventurine are absolute gold. Not helping is Camden adding fuel to the fire.

Story-wise, that was infered from Acheron's conversation with Sam, both from the text and the inflection used in some bits.

So I've finally managed to get 300 standard warp pulls and can choose 1 of the 5-star standard warp characters.

I already have E1 Yanging and E0 everyone else except for Bailu. I'm not really interested in choosing Bailu since I already have fully upgraded Luocha, Fu Xuan & Gepard as my sustains.

Which of the standard 5-stars has the best E1? I'm currently torn between Bronya, welt or Clara E1.

Also, which of the standard 5-star light cones purchasable from the store is the best? I got Gepard's Signature LC from an earlier pull. Any of the others worth getting?

All I got from there was Sam envying Acheron because he can't dream and him saying that "his script has always been brief"

Well, Sam also mentions that he tried to go against the script and failed in a way that shows he doesn't like that fact. He also mentions later on that he had tried to contact the Trailblazer eleven times before the script said he could do so.

I reckon we'll have to wait until 2.2 clears the dust on Sam/Firefly's characterisation.

Yeah but there's nothing there that implies Firefly seeing all of their time together as genuine. Sure, it may have nothing to do with the script (which I agree), but it's also possible that she does all that just to get close to the TB (though given that she seems to be willing to "show them all that she is" she's really gonna open herself - but ofc we still have to wait till next version)

So it turns out that if you run across Ruan Mei's world slice with her in your party you get an option to take the blessings and the credits. ...I proceeded to beat the boss without any of my characters actually getting a turn. Which is only two or three turns faster than usual for a full Elation team, but hey

Now that Acheron's banner is coming to an end, I wonder if Aventurine's banner is also going to bring the "Interlude" section mentioned at the end of 2.1.

This latest MoC Stage 12 is pretty painful, what with the Turbulence being totally useless on Part 2's Aventurine of Stratagems whenever he rolls his dice. The Memory Zone Meme "Rage" (the crystalline T-Rex) is also beefy, making it a sore distraction while wailing on Part 1's main dangers (Frigid Prolwer and Cocolia). My usual Black Swan-Kafka-Dr.Ratio trio made short work of Part 1, but in Part 2 I actually had to tune Luka and Gepard to be good complements for Acheron E2, and even then, 3-star was barely won.

I got 34/36 stars for the first time - was very slow on MOC 12. I think I could probably get 35, but 36 feels a bit out of reach with my current comp. Maybe if I get (and build) Jingliu I will give it another try.

I really don't think the second level 12 boss is that hard to clear quickly, but he requires to really think about action order so as not to waste the damage on sixth hit mechanic, and careful Ult/turn management. Oh, and also to not be stupid unlucky, like when Clara somehow scored a 5 after hitting 4 dices.
