Scott Pilgrim anime

Yes, the newest Netflix anime is an adaptation of Scott Pilgrim, featuring the entire cast from Scott Pilgrim vs. The World film.

It's weird to think that everyone is back considering some of the things a lot of them have done.

You don't regularly get such a high profile cast for an anime, but since this is an anime based off an american made comic book, that became a western film (which is where said cast comes from) it makes sense I suppose.

That's not very roundabout, it's just a full circle revolution.

Thats pretty cool, did not expect to see this big reunion. It is intersting looking back how that film had multiple actors that afterwards went on to become huge stars.

Science SARU is behind the animation on this one, wonder how trippy this will get.

The entire cast coming back is so cool.

First new trailer is up, and looks like it'll be very faithful to the original comics' art style after all, and it looks gorgeous with it!

It's still awesome they got everyone from the live action film back.

Either they all really loved being on that live action film, or they're all fans of the original series.

Or they got offered a shit ton of money.

Or all of the above.

Hope everyone's fine with Michael Cera returning. I think he's gonna knock it out of the park.

The anime will be my first exposure to Scott Pilgrim, so I'm defs excited!

Getting all the actors back is so awesome, especially when some of them have really blown up since the movie.

Brie Larson in particular has become a really big deal since the original film despite playing a fairly minor character. And Chris “Captain America” Evans, of course. I too am surprised literally nobody declined to come back.

Seems like everybody has really fond memories of working on the movie.

Its one of those gems of the 2010's I don't think anybody other than the stuffiest paid critics really had a problem with.

There's nothing to hate in this movie beyond the compressed stort arcs.

Surprised they're gonna do this. I remember loving the original movie.

Also, seeing the artstyle, i believe that Scott Pilgrim was the first work using that kind of hipster-ish artstyle that is very prominent nowadays. I dunno if it is the first, but it is one of the first that i saw with that artstyle.

On the one hand I can't wait for this kung-fu anime trainwreck to happen with all of the stuff from the comic.

Yup just I thought.

Michael Cera is perfect as Scott. In fact, I'd say he's closer to comic Scott here than how he is in the movie.
