I figure the guy is well-known enough by now to deserve his own thread.

Hell, he gets more views than some of the people who do have threads.

Anyway, Solid JJ is a You Tube who posts short, comical videos about famous copyrighted characters, normally superhero comics but sometimes also anime and video games.

His latest video was on Star Wars and the little "oopsie" Darth Vader did in Revenge of the Sith:

"Carved up those kids like it's Fruit Ninja" is the best sentence I'm likely to hear all week.

Oh man, I love this channel. It's all the fun of a SNL skit but with way more versatility. Some of my favorite videos are.

The Hulk tries to earnestly join the Avengers, but they begin discriminating against him because they're afraid of being Overshadowed by Awesome.

To say Freudian Excuse Is No Excuse when it comes to Kingpin's Start of Darkness is putting it mildly.

This is the video that first made me realize that Solid was willing to take screenshots from things besides the old cartoon's and the joke about Batman's lamer villains was all the better for it.

I am so confused.

Barney Rubble has a god complex.

This episode is about Yu-Gi-Oh GX and how an Academy dedicated to making students into pros in card games is useless in Real Life.

I love these existential horror moments where it just dawns on the characters how messed up things are.

Funny enough, Duel Academy actually does have a surprisingly well-rounded curriculum. Banner teaches art and history. Stein teaches Mathematics. They also have a full sports program including Tennis and Baseball. Jaden slept through most of those classes, but that's really on him. You also don't have to be good at card games to get a full education because we find out there are other tracts like a game design program.

Although in the Yugioh GX world, being really good a card games is practically a super power. Jaden defeated a vampire, a ghost, aliens, and the personification of entropy by being really good at card games.

Solid JJ rips into the "Batman can win any fight with Prep Time" idea in his unique way.

Eh, if it really was that the joke would have been on Batman, but the punchline involved Superman losing his mind at the whole thing so while it's still very funny I wouldn't call it some sort of Take That!.

I haven't watched amazing friends in years, but I'm pretty sure they're all staying at Aunt May's, which means they built all this tech into a place that isn't theirs.

Pretty sure she's still doing this in the comics. Her being a bud for Mr Negative was oddly sweet.

PS: Is Newark, New Jersey really that bad?

From what I gather, New York has a rivalry with New Jersey and thus will do everything in their power to make them look bad.

From my understanding, Camden is (or was, certainly not as bad as years back). Newark isn't exactly a great place either. Most of the state is pretty much your standard suburb.
