Roman is a Russian Youtuber, who tends to talk about Russia and it's virtues and issues on his channel. Lately he talks mostly about Russian propaganda, because it increased ten-fold after Russia invaded Ukraine, because Putin feels insecure and tries to pass his losses as victories.

His latest video:

It should be pointed out that he left Russia after the invasion started and is now living in Georgia.

I honestly wish I had discovered his channel before this whole mess started, his videos on Russian trivia like the Murino neighborhood were pretty interesting. surprised

I left Russia one year ago, in March of 2022. I was one of the tens of thousands who moved to Georgia. A lot has happened and changed since then, but one thing became clear to me: the Russian passport is a really big roadblock when it comes to trying to move to other countries (especially in the West and EU) and even just travel there. What is it like to have a Russian passport in 2023? What is it like to live as a Russian in exile? These are the questions I want to cover in this video, as well as discussing my plans for the future and overall feelings (spoiler alert: I am pretty hopeless right now). Hope you enjoy and subscribe for more!

I've already talked about Russian propaganda music on this channel, and in particular the Russian singer SHAMAN. This guy is blowing up in Russia right now with his "patriotic" Z songs, and essentially is used as a tool of propaganda, often appearing on Russian TV. He even performed at Russia's 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY concert which was an absolute Z fever dream. Well, have you guys wondered what SHAMAN is up to these days? What kind of music is he making. I decided to react to it, and I can tell you: this Russian propaganda music is not very good and is only getting worse.

"No one under the age of 75 listens to Shaman seriously"… You gotta wonder what led a young guy in his… what, twenties? to write heavy-handed nationalistic anthems.

Being a Russian who is not Z, I get a lot of compliments from Western viewers. A lot of the times, however, these compliments come off pretty backhanded, with people making pretty xenophobic statements like "Russians are all terrible people, but you're one of the good ones". In my opinion these comments show a bigger issue - the huge disconnect Westerners have with Russians and lack of understanding of their situation. A lot of Westerners have a bad image of Russian people, which ironically feeds right into Russian propaganda and the Kremlin narrative. So, what is the Russian mindset? Why Russians don't protest? Why are Russians silent? Is there anything WRONG with Russians? And why are these questions nonsensical? Let's talk about it.

I left Russia 1 year ago after the start of the "special military operation", and during that year Russia has implemented a lot of new laws that limit freedom of speech and any sort of dissent or disagreement with the Russian government or Russian propaganda. During this year there have been many cases of people being imprisoned or fined for voicing their opinion, and now the Russian people are very paranoid and are scared to speak out. In today's video we're going to talk about 3 cases of censorship and persecution in Russia that happened recently: from a man sent to jail for making a joke about Putin to police raids on popular bars. We'll also talk about the story of Masha Moskaleva - a 12 year old girl from Russia who made a pro-Ukraine drawing in school, and as a result her father is currently in jail and Masha might be sent to an orphanage. It's truly crazy stuff, and I believe it's important to share these stories so that people know the reality of Russia and to show that "Russians don't protest" isn't a very true statement.

Modern Russia has a lot of laws it uses to suppress free speech and criticism of Putin or Russia's actions in Ukraine. I've already covered Russian censorship on this channel before, including the so-called Foreign Agent law. However, recently this law has become one of the main tools that Russia uses to silence people: prominent individuals who oppose Putin are called "foreign agents" and are forced to obey all sorts of ridiculous requirements. Failure to obey results in jail. So, what is the Russian foreign agent law? Why is Russia doing this? And how is this law different from the American Foreign Agent Registration Act? Let's talk about it.

In modern Russia more and more things are getting banned left and right - this includes internet censorship and the crackdown on freedom of speech as well. But if you stay "out of politics" in Russia you'll be fine, right? Well, in authoritarian countries outlawing things is very common, and Russia has made many regular things illegal over the years: including certain memes, drinking in public, Western imported foods like cheese and even... certain types of underwear. Even though I left Russia 1 year ago, I still remember all these things very vividly. Let's talk about the weirdest and most basic things Russia has banned over the years, and discuss why this happens

After the start of the full-on conflict between Russia and Ukraine, Russia has tried many things to get Russians on the frontlines - with the biggest effort being the mobilization, which started in September 2022. Back then, a lot of Russians were fleeing for other nearby countries. I left Russia a year ago as well. Now, however, it seems like Russia has learned their lesson: the government has just introduced a new "digital draft" law, according to which people can now be drafted by being sent a message from the government online. If the person being drafted fails to arrive to the military draft office, they get banned from leaving Russia completely, as well as having some of their other basic rights revoked. What is going on in Russia? Is this a sign of something big coming up? And what do Russians think? Let's talk about it.

We've reacted to many different types of Russian propaganda on this channel - from propaganda in Russian schools to Russian propaganda music. However, today we're going to look at Russia's newest invention: the Russian government is now paying Americans and Europeans to star in videos promoting Russia, in which these Z Westerners say that Putin's Russia is a prosperous country with a great future, and that life in Russia is way better than the West. Who are these Z Westerners and how are these videos made? Let's react to one of these propaganda pieces, starring David from the UK, and see what it's all about!

I left Russia 1 year ago, and the whole time the "special operation" has been going on, the persecution and censorship in Russia has only gotten worse. We've already talked about many of these cases, however, today we're going to discuss a new development: Russia has started jailing Russia's richest and most famous Instagram influencers, who have all been rather Z and loyal to the Putin regime. What is going on? Why is Russia going after these influencers and how is this all related to the current events in Ukraine and the Russian economy under sanctions? What do Russians think and how are these arrests being used as Kremlin propaganda? Let's talk about it.

Russia has been censoring pretty much everything online recently, and the famous A.I. Chat GPT from Open AI also got banned in Russia. As a replacement, one of Russia's biggest banks Sberbank created their own Russian AI, known as Kandinsky, with a text AI called Giga Chat. It all seemed great until a prominent Russian politician complained that the new A.I. wasn't PATRIOTIC ENOUGH: according to him, Russia's new AI creates a negative image of Russia and praises Ukraine & the West, as well as criticizing the Russian Z propaganda. As a result of this, the AI developers were reported to the authorities and had to make some changes to the algorithm to make sure that the AI is Z enough. What is going on with the Russian Chat GPT? Why is Russia fighting its own technology?

Not that long ago I reacted to Andrew Tate on Ukraine and Russia, and as expected, his takes were terrible. In today's video we're going to look at the Andrew Tate wannabe SNEAKO. SNEAKO is an ex-You Tuber I used to watch a very long time ago, and since then he's had a massive red-pill transformation and became the punching bag of You Tube, having beef with pretty much everyone, including Cr1tikal, Destiny and more. Well, unsurprisingly enough, Sneako also has some bad takes on Russia and Ukraine. In fact, Sneako is a self-described supporter of Putin. Why does Sneako love Putin so much and why are his Ukraine takes awful? Let's talk about it.

The start of Russia's 'special operation' has changed the world, and it has severely changed me. I left Russia over 1 year ago, and since then I've been distraught by and severely disappointed in my country many, many times. However, Russia isn't the only one in this regard - in fact, over the last year I've been pretty disappointed in the world and human beings in general. Why am I such a doomer about the world these days? Why do people lack empathy? And how is this all connected to my experience as a Russian in 2023?

A short time ago I talked about Russia's new Digital Draft Law on this channel: a law that basically allows to draft anyone into the Russian army by sending a "digital summons" through the e-gov app Gosuslugi. Well, that app also has a new use now: for the past few months Russia started using Gosuslugi as a means of spreading Z propaganda. I myself have also been receiving these Russian propaganda messages, and in today's video I decided to react to them with you guys. Let's see what Russia sent me and what it all means.

I like to keep up with the latest in Russian propaganda on this channel, and in today's video we'll take a look at something new - Russian propaganda on Tik Tok. In fact, not simply just Russian propaganda: we'll react to propaganda created by the breakaway regions of Ukraine known as Luhansk and Donetsk People's Republic. We'll see how truly great the life in 'the Russian world' is: from having no internet to celebrating an entire singular pavement being rebuilt. It's truly one of the propagandas of all time. Tik Tok has been a breeding ground for Russian Z propaganda for a while, and these videos are truly the most embarrassing yet. Let's check it out and hope you enjoy!

Russia is in chaos for the last few days: Yevgeny Prigozhin, the chief of Russia's private military force PMC Wagner organized an insurrection against Russia and the Russian Ministry of Defense, which is described by many as a rebellion or a coup in Russia. However, right in the middle of the entire coup Prigozhin announced that he will be withdrawing his forces, as he came to peace with the Russian government. So what exactly happened in Russia? How did Prigozhin take control of several cities in Russia? Why did this coup start and why did it end? What does this mean for the future of Russia?

While he does mention how some people outright wanted Prigozhin to actually take over (mainly because a lot of those people tend to be hardcore ultra-nationalists themselves), I think the main reason a lot of other people were rooting for him to actually take Moscow was because they were hoping he'd destabilise Russia's government to the point where ther war efforts would just collapse.

Modern Russia has a lot of societal problems, and one of the bigger ones is education - and in particular education regarding politics and ideology. Russians often don't know anything about politics, and the Russian propaganda and TV make sure that it stays that way. As a result, a lot of average Russians, especially those who support Putin, end up being politically illiterate. Moreover, certain words and terms start losing meaning in Russia, becoming useless buzzwords used by Russian TV in true Orwellian 1984 fashion. As a result, more and more people easily fall for the brainwashing. Why is this happening and how can Russia improve from this? Let's watch some Russian street interviews and talk about it.
