Allegedly Treasure Planet was intended to be in Dream Drop Distance but was cut, so personally I don't think it's improbable that one of Disney's lesser or more Cult Classic movies could get represented in KH if they were considering a Treasure Planet world in 3D.

"Hey, gimme a minute to get to know everyone, 'kay, Brainy?" "Of course, but please allow me to get a word in, too, bzz."

I mean Chicken Little was a hit at the time, so him being a Summon character in the second game made sense as odd as it seemed.

Magnifico is pretty iconic now. He fits in pretty well with the line-up of Disney villains past and present. Asha and Star are both memorable too, so I could easily see a condensed version of Rosas making its way into one of the games at some point or another.

I’m hoping that KH headcannon is what they go with in KH4.

The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.

KH does play fast and loose with continuity. I could see them doing something really fascinating and different with Wish for that reason certainly.

I think KH will sooner have Strange World content in it than Wish.

Though it'd be pretty impressive if KH managed to make Strange World and Wish actually good.

If given enough feeedom yeah I can expect it. though I liked Strange World well enough for being okay.

If not, expect accidental watermark in songs that feel out of place in the game because the team wrapped a noose around said worlds neck.

Yes.

The completely out of place Maze. Most of the movie being offscreen. Hans who oh the giant    EVIL    wolf heartless?

Basically a case where they should have given KH 3 way more freedom.

I get it. They wanted a Fenrir reference cause Fenrir=Ice in Final Fantasy so they used one of his sons. That’s…pretty much the beginning and end of it.

And you know I was even looking forward to Marshmallow being a party member in Frozen before the game came out. I was hoping we’d get to see something with him and his mom Elsa.

[up][up]Wolf in sheep’s clothing?

Though [up] is probably the more accurate answer.

Though in most games Fenrir isn't Ice-element. He's only Ice aligned in FFXIV and FFXVI.

Fenrir's usually more associated with the Moon due to the whole wolf thing.

Do you think Magnifico would turn into a monster or be fought as himself? His general personality of hoarding wishes reminds me of a dragon.

Though his motivation isn't greed but control.

Anyway, since Wish was all about Disney nostalgia bait anyway, they might as well have gone all in and have him turn into Chernabog, an idea I've suggested before.

Was kind of surprised Magnifico also didn't have a One-Winged Angel transformation in the movie certainly. That's usually standard. In a KH game, I wouldn't be surprised if he has one level as himself and another where he's given some kind of bigger special ability (something maybe they make up too like they did with Oogie Boogie basically becoming the Manor itself).

Wish didn't rise back into the Top 10 on iTunes this past weekend. Again, we'll see if it fairs better when it's either available to rent or when it's on Disney+.

Honestly I don't even see this movie being a Cult Classic. Those are movies that didn't pan out due to being too unusual but eventually win over those who like that brand of unusual.

Wish's problem is that it's too generic and flattened out for safe mass market appeal.

If every previous Disney animated movie was some kind of vanilla sundae with unique mixings, toppings, and syrups, Wish was just plain vanilla. Not even the fancy kind of vanilla.

Every Disney Animated Canon Film in some way or another finds someone it appeals to. You look at Home on the Range which again I think almost killed the Canon altogether when it came out having fans despite that and there you go. Wish seems like it could be really accessible despite it not getting attention now and I think because it does have a safeness to it and has sparked so many conversations about its content on here alone it seems—even with its What Could Have Been focus in the eyes of so many.

Yeah while there's definitely the sense of trying too hard and it's only a little more than a decent movie by the end of the day, that potential is something people can still see. Whether or not it was untapped potential, it's still definitely there at the end of the day.

Thing is, most of the conversations have been along the lines of "wtf happened to Disney", "what a waste of potential", "my own headcanon fanfic is better", "bring back the cut content", "I miss 2-d animation", and "I hate that baby goat".

Though I guess Disney deserves some credit for actually releasing their movie. Warner Bros. lowered the bar that much.

As has been said, Wish has probably changed so much from what was originally intended that it's indeed a shame Disney didn't be more daring with it—though if they took risks, they were ones that weren't really good marketing strategies either. This was indeed the movie they made to celebrate Disney 100 with. Again, given how Frozen turned out, better was indeed probably expected.

Aspects of what really would've shined were still there though. Don't get me wrong, even with it not being tapped properly, its potential is not easily dismissed.

I watched Billy Binges' Wish reaction last night by the way. He really enjoyed the songs and the story and it was hard not to enjoy him enjoying it—and that's a credit to the movie too by the way and not just him.

I just realized the eighth friend from the early draft, Flazino, shares his name with Prince Florian from Snow White.

[up][up] "Florian" is the one Disney on Ice uses, but I dunno how official it really is. A lot of other media still just calls him "The Prince", but I prefer Florian.
