I disagree with OP. I do not see anything wrong with long acronyms. It is jargon, yes, but all acronyms are.

Is it ok to ask about the original forum section it was in and if so, why was it moved?
I mean when you bring up two or more identical or very similar acronyms that mean different things in the same text. Confusion will occur.
