I just found the time to finish watching the series, and I do wonder that if the Bandai Namco execs put Suletta and Miorine's marriage as 'open to interpertation', could possibly the political themes of imperialism and inequity have been watered down due to executive meddling?
"Enshittification truly is how platforms die"-Cory DoctorowYeah it is kinda suspicious that suddenly the Big Bad is the evil space government that wants to stop the Benerit group, and how Deling is an ally in this situation.
I really think the Space League are boring villains that are forced in when the real meat of the conflict was the manipulations of the Benerit group.
Half serious guess here, but maybe some executives were unhappy that Space Capitalism was primarily the bad guy and forced a change?
Like the shift from Benerit and Prospera as the villains to the Space League is just jarring.

Or maybe they just thought 'It's not Gundam without a horrible superweapon'? And this time referencing Solomon instead of a Colony Drop

It can't be denied that the last couple of episodes felt rushed. If there's some sort of continuation I wouldn't put it past the writers to do an Evangelion-esque cutoff saying "Okay we're starting again from.... Here!" somewhere.
Bleye knows Sabers.Space Assembly League snooping around was set up far in advance so it definitely wasn't a last minute switchup.
And the show ultimately comes down on the side of dissolving the Benerit Group being a good thing.
So two things.
The final dedication in the staff-made fanbook was pretty much clear on which side the majority of the staff were on, and it was firmly on the "they're married; deal with it" side, with almost all illustrations of Sulleta and Miorine together featuring wedding rings and a splash page of a "wedding" of sorts.
Then there are people like the one staff animator who says "there was no wedding/no wedding was animated". *facepalm*
E Ither he's blind or doing a very clumsy attempt of trying to keep his job.
You can't kill art.The main beef however is this tweet by Tsutomu Ohnoabout why interpretations are up to the fans and not explicitly the production staff's problem.

So I finally finished showing this anime to my Hong Kong friend and that little girl with us.
The little girl was confused on why Suletta was fighting Prospera and Eri since all Prospera wants to do is "End all wars so her daughter can live peacefully."
She didn't seem to care much about all the people Prospera killed because "they were mean."
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Huh. Ending clearly estabilishes they are married with Rings and Eri reffering to Miorine as sister in law. It just denies what was clearly shown on screen.
To be fair, she isn’t wrong about mean people.
Not too strange that people would feel sympathetic to Prospera.
Still, giving the power of all the weapons and god knows how much tech to only one person is bound to end... messily.
Wake me up at your own risk. That kid's logic is kind of the same as Eri's lol.
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls! She's way too young to understand that Prospera has been abusive to Suletta.

"Those are just platonic ways of holding together, you know! It's how we interpret it!"

You can't kill art. Here's how Suletta X Guel can still happen:

Avatar SourceBut okay, Suletta is more firm than I remembered. Must be the wedding dress.

Remember, that concrete chunk of building she moved at the end of Ep 20 was approximately 612 kg. Suletta is strong

Ayup, that image looks totally platonic to me. Girls do that all the time.
Summary?
You can't kill art.
At the gwitch event, Miorine referred to Suletta as her special partner, happy to see the creatives on the side of sulemio despite what Bandai said.
