Maybe I'm just missing another trope here, but there seems to be a missing part of one of these tropes and that is, character backing away from something out of fear.
Now, I can see people ready to type "That's Nice Kitty...!" but Nice Kitty also has the requirement that the character backing away also try to placate the animal they are backing away from. And Backing Away Slowly excludes backing away out of fear, so we are missing coverage of characters backing away out of fear (of a person or animal or deadly plant I guess) and not trying to placate them (either because they know they can't or are just too afraid to do so).
