One-Man Band is using it incorrectly, as is the I Am the Band laconic. Though, according to the Wayback Machine, the laconic has been wrong as long as far back as 2008.
IATB is for situations when a band is overwhelmingly managed or associated with a particular leader/face. Who is Music.Wings? Music.Paul Mc Cartney.

I added the second part of that Laconic back in 2018 based on how often it'd been used for cases where one member exerts unilateral control (e.g. Pink Floyd during the Roger Waters era); admittedly it didn't click to me at the time that those instances were likely misuse.

One-Man Band describes I Am the Band as "one musician plays each instrument separately and combines the tracks to sound like a full band."
While I Am the Band describes itself as... well, I'm not sure.
Sometimes, casual fans of a rock band can only identify one member by name. And sometimes, those fans are absolutely right, because that one guy is the band.
