After seeing AGGRETSUKO’s portrayal of the trials and tribulations of working a white-collar job in a large Japanese city, it got me to thinking about what series involve kindergarten, preschool, or possibly even babyhood in that part of the world. To wit, I’m aware of SHIMAJIRO (directed squarely at that demographic) and GAKUEN BABYSITTERS (which is more about teenage boys running a daycare). I’ve been wondering if anything else exists in regard to that subject.
