Sonic the Hedgehog film series general

The first movie is a good standalone but the other ones all build on Serial Escalation and a broader story.

Which I'm personally 100% on board with.

Anywho, going back to the Sonic films, I feel Keanu Reeves will bring a pretty good energy to Shadow, I'll be honest. Great for the tragic pathos we're needing for Shadow, with maybe some humanizing Ted energy as well, occasionally sprinkled in.

I'd like to note as previously stated - here we all go saying Keanu Reeves will do this or do that for the role/film without actually knowing or seeing what he brings to it.

So? Remember how much everyone mocked the Mario movie cast and they (minus debatably Chris Pratt) were great? Remember how much people mocked Heath Ledger's casting as Joker? Or Michael Keaton's as Batman? I'm done judging casting just from the name.

Or Ben Affleck's casting as Batman? Or Robert Pattinson's casting as Batman? For some reason, Batman gets it a lot.

That’s the point. Whoever is under the mask should be unexpected since that’s the energy Bruce Wayne cultivates.

Actors are called that for a reason.

Keaton was disliked when he was announced too. And thank goodness we got Adam West instead of Lyle Waggoner.

But back to Sonic, do you think we're getting a stinger setting up the next movie, or are they calling it quits after a trilogy?

No way, we're def going to have more movies, they are trying to make a Sonic Cinematic Universe.

It makes money, no series of movies are allowed to end if they make money.

Heh, imagine the Black Comet showing in the stinger...

Amy has been trying to jump Sonic since day 1.

Amy is the same species as Sonic.

Granted I would be down if the movie featured a human girl saying she has a crush on Sonic and him responding something along the lines of "You need help!"

And that sir or madam is awfully species-ist.

We do not need human women kissing dead hedgehogs.

We need hedgehogs kissing dead human women!

Idris Elba has stated that Sonic 3 will be for "All the Real Die Hard fans." What do you guys think about this?

Clearly it's going to be a Christmas movie.

Shadow's going to throw someone from a building onto a cop car

I've always thought a good way to deal with Elise would be to just fuse her with Blaze.

The chances of the films adapting anything about Rush are incredibly low, so just have Blaze be the Princess of Soleanna instead of the Sol Dimension, have Mephiles be connected to Sol Emeralds instead of whatever 06's magitek system was, etc, and just take elements from both games' plots. They're a lot of overlap between their story beats anyway.
