If Silver shows up in one of these movies, I wonder if he'll say "It's no use!" at any point.
If I had a nickel for every film where Emma Stone falls off a balcony... I'd only have two nickels, but weird that there's two of them.I'm kind of hoping that Tails will have a more meaningful character arc in the third movie than he did in the second movie. Like, don't get me wrong. I really loved Tails in the second movie, but he did spent like most of the second half of the movie being knocked out.
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!If it's an adaptation of SA 2, he might. That's the plot where Eggman freaking blows up Sonic right in front of Tails' eyes and Tails actually briefly hits a Rage Breaking Point, after all.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I do wonder if Robotnik will try to blow up Sonic in the third movie?
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!New promo image for Knuckles:

Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).Glad that they gave Knuckles that cowboy hat! I was wondering if any future Sonic work would feature Knuckles' hat.
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!This is the most fanservice-heavy adaption of a video game out there. It is objectively the best live-action adaption out there right now.
- Sonic losing his rings when he fell from the Empire State building
- The Emerald Hill music in the second film's teaser
- Robotnik getting his stache and deranged personality
- Knuckles' hat
From the marketing to the meta jokes this franchise's creative team is on point.

Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).I really like how they were able to put in the fanservice for these movies in a way that doesn't fully confuse the general audience who haven't heard of the franchise. It shows how much they really care about this franchise and are doing their best to satisfy the fans.

I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!Yeah, these movies, Detective Pikachu, Mario...all it took for good video game movies was studios who give a shit. Whoda thunk.
Yep. That's probably why past video game movies before Detective Pikachu didn't do that well. They always deviated so far from the source material that many fans didn't recognize what the movies were supposed to be.
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!Except for Mortal Kombat, which was so good it heavily influenced its own source material.
Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonHonestly I love these films. They should, by all means, be shit. It has the premise of taking a character from a fun world into the real world to be adopted by a human - a premise that I usually hate. The initial marketing was so bad that they had to change the character model. It has clear stunt casting that fell fully into Questionable Casting (seriously, Jim Carrey as Eggman? Idris Elba as Knuckles?). By all means, they should have been ok at best.
And yet, they surprise everyone by being great. The relationship between Sonic and the human characters was really wholesome, the casting was amazing, the new model looked great. And it was a unique take on the source material without feeling too different. These films are shockingly good.
As long as it doesn't become to OTT, I don't mind the games taking inspiration from aspects of the film. I definitely think that more elements from the films will begin to make it into the games as the film series continues, though the considerable popularity of the world created by the games means that the film influence probably won't overpower the games (which is good).

I do wonder that if the Sonic movies become even more successful after Sonic 3, I wonder if this will cause SEGA to make some changes to the games in response to it. Like, they already had Sonic get blue eyes whenever he's powering up in Sonic Frontiers.

It's official! The film is finally finished! Now it's time for the trailers...
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!Rats, I was about to post about it…
At least I can upload the image! Dig the red shirt! And the Shadow sketch in the clapboard!
I'm still betting that we'll see the first Sonic 3 trailer by the time the last Knuckles episode drops. If not right after, then like in the Summer Game Fest event or something.
excuse me you mean Chuckles
New theme music also a box
I feel like at least one of them will appear, if not both. On one hand, Amy is the only main Sonic character we haven't seen yet (Rouge is arguably a main character, but not to the same level as Amy). On the other hand, Rouge's relationships with Shadow and Knuckles might make her easier to fit in (plus, she'd be a fun anti-hero to play off the fully heroic protagonists and, for most of this film at least, fully villainous Shadow). There's a good chance they'll bring in both (especially since both were important parts of Adventure 2), though that could risk leading to too many things in one film (Sonic, Tails, Knuckled, the human characters, Eggman, Shadow and introducing Amy and Rouge would be a lot). Maybe that's partly what the Knuckles TV show will do, give Knuckles a focus and some development so he doesn't have to have as much of an individual presence in the film (obviously he'll be in a lot of scenes and contribute a lot, but this would mean that they wouldn't have to spend time on an individual character arc for him).
"I am afraid there is not any point in continuing with this endeavour, Old Chum, as all previous attempts to defeat me have demonstrably failed." Seriously tho, I could imagine him seeming like he's going to say it and then he either says something else or the same thing in different words (though probably differently to how I just put it).
