Quinton Reviews

Hello. I noticed that there wasn't a Quinton Reviews thread and thought I would start one. Here is a recent example of a video from him.

I don't agree with everything, but he brings up a lot of good points.

I love Quinton's videos so much. He strikes a good balance between hilarious and occasional insightfulness while keeping to a casual vibe. Not easy to do with videos this long like he's been doing lately.

I like Quinton's stuff though I must say his five hour long videos are like, beyond my capacity to consume.

Holy shit, and I thought other youtubers were overdoing it with their 90 minute videos.

I tend to watch his videos in chunks. Cutting out at the intermission periods.

Quinton's greatest strength is that he's able to make his topics interesting even if you don't know or care much about them (his ridonculos iCarly deep dive is a good example). The problem is his mopey attitude. He is such a bummer, personality-wise. His delivery is often in conflict with the actual content of his videos, at least in my opinion.

I think like most reviewers, he is good at doing reviews but is pretty bad at doing skits.

Caddicarus always felt like an exception to that, IMO.

Yeah, this might have been a little long, especially for a Victorious video (and that is coming from a fan of the show).

I feel like something I like about him is that even when I don't agree with his takes, he makes them so I can at least understand how he got there. Which is more than I can say for online reviewers.

Honestly, the videos he's been doing on the Nick sitcoms have been massive nostalgia bombs for me. Really reminding me of stuff I haven't seen in ages.

So Quinton's released part two of his Victorious video. It's very long, and it covers the rest of the show.

Another good video. Even if I don't really agree with everything. He always makes his points very well.

Jesus fuck 8 hours.

Yeah. I'm surprised (and I say this as fan of the show) that he managed to talk for 8 hours about Victorious.

OK,why is it eight hours long?

It's part of a huge deep dive into the Nickelodeon Sitcom Universe, so he isn't covering just the show. He's covering merch, games, The Slap, lots of shit.

It's videos like that one make me wish there was a rule that a video can only be posted with a summary if it's at least 30 mins long.

I watched both Victorious videos despite my previous experience with Victorious being The Take a Hint Music video because I was you know in college when Victorious was out.

Watched it. Great video. Following his trend in video length, I eagerly await his seemingly inevitable 24 hour review.

Also checked out his Garfield Vacation video/How I rewrote Garfield History video. I like when people really like something and discover more about it and connect with people about it.

(Also laughed at his theory that Jade believes in climate change researched all it's ramifications and is pro it in light of how many people would die). Which I don't know what that says about me as a person having written it down.

It took me like five days to finish the second Victorious video. I'm hoping he takes it easy on the next ones, because I would be terrified to see him go for even longer ones.

The question is,why? Why make videos of such a length?

The answer is obvious: why not?

because making a video of that length probably means less views then if they made a regular video?Just a feeling I have I've not glanced at the total view count
