Pokemon Mystery dungeon: Multiverse rescue team - discussion Thread

Thread made for any question or complaint you may have related to the rp Pokemon Mystery dungeon rescue team

I'm just curious if I'm able to use something similar to the Wrath Hammer as a move later on, since it appears he can't get it directly.

Assuming I'm not going by official movelists(which is why I don't have Taunt yet, and have Focus Energy instead). Though it doesn't look like there's a similar move to it anyway. XD

Maybe he could find an armory later on after he evolves into a Two footed pokemon that sells him a similar weapon.

Ah, so once he's a Nidoking. That works. He can't learn Taunt till then either, heh.

I'm guessing he won't be able till then.

Pretty much. Though I could see working in a Spear of Light replacement later(maybe Solar Beam or something. I'll look at my options in a bit).

Ok very well, but I'm not super picky about which picks you choose, as long as they seem possible for the pokemon I think I will be fine with it.

Duly noted. Nidoran's movepool is kind of small, but there's thankfully a lot of options ignoring that, especially if they work well enough. Even then, some Poison moves could work too. I'll keep searching.

What would you prefer, to arribe to the town already or meet some enemies in the way there?

Both are fine with me.

I feel a town would be good, but meeting their “rivals” first wouldn’t be bad.

The rival team would be something they meet until they join the guild, the enemies they face before getting to the town would be common enemies

Ah. Either could work. Knowing how you do the mechanics might not be bad. Since I'm unaware of how the PP system works in this context(you probably have that figured out??).

I was thinking about ignoring the pp stuff and just have the fights be more based around the narrative, if they're fighting fother villains then the heroes will naturally win without much problem, but if a big fight is comming over I'll warn you before hand, is that fine?

I think it would add drama if they all at some point lose a fight or fail a mission.

guys if any of you want to drop out of the game it's alright but I wish you could at least warn me so I can take that into account moving forward.

I'm definitely not dropping out. If you decide to stop the game due to too much slowness, that's one thing. But the only reason I'd stop posting.

Oh, I'm very sorry. I didn't intend to drop out. The reason I haven't posted in a while is, well, every time I open up the thread I find myself unable to get into the Ridcully headspace, as it were. I keep having trouble coming up with what Ridcully would say and do in the situation we're in. This might be because I usually end up trying to post here when I'm tired and mentally drained, or because I haven't read much Discworld in a while, although I just recently got a chance to read some more so that should no longer be an issue. I will hopefully post tomorrow.

That's perfectly fine don't worry there's no rush write when you're able and want to, this is for fun after all.
