So, do you wager we'll see a romance between Boba and Fennec?

Of note, it does establish that Mos Eisley has an actual Mayor, though it's unclear how much power they actually have.
Well, after seeing the first episode, I can say that we underestimated the misfortune Boba had after being eaten by the Sarlacc. The Sarlacc belly is actually the least painful hardship Boba had to endure. He just wakes up, find an unfortunate Stormtrooper life-support system to get extra air, and then breaks his way out with his flamethrower. It's actually getting out of the Sarlacc that things took a turn for the worst, starting with Jawas stealing his armor when he was unconscious from the heat. And then a bunch of Tuskens decided to make him into a slave to digging for water. And he gets beaten several times by them (plus one from the Jawas). I'm surprised he actually lived through all of that. Though I'm not surprised he eventually gains the Tuskens' respect by killing the monster that was about to kill a young Tusken raider.
Wait it's out?
Oh man I gotta find time to watch it.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I'm assuming Boba and she are already in a relationship without it being spelled out.
Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters. He had to slay the bastard child of Goro of the Shokan and Machamp but he did earn that respect.
It's easy to earn respect from violent Tusken Raiders than it is from Crime Lords apparently. He had the job less than a day and has already had to survive his first assassination attempt.
One Strip! One Strip!I think those guys were some goons hired by the Mayor of Mos Espa. He seems like the most likely subject. Everyone else seems to respect him enough, for now. Also I think that was a Gundark that he killed in the desert; it seemed to fit the description of one.
Either way, really good first episode. Nice to see that Jabba's palace isn't all dank and drab.
Hard to say what the Mayor is doing. He's the most visible suspect, but my guess is that it's one of the rival crime lords who want to take power for themselves and opted to strike when Boba Fett was still establishing himself.
There's probably a decent chance that the Mayor is genuinely trying to do what's best for the people of Mos Espa and keep the criminal organizations in check. And if he wanted to move against Boba Fett directly, he wouldn't of sent hired assassins and been all sneaky about it, he'd of had him arrested.
I'm gonna make the obligatory theory now and say it's Fennec.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I doubt that. Undying Loyalty seems to be her thing considering he saved her life and all. She doesn't even doubt him that much, she's just saying "This is how Jabba does things", and Boba's ways are working, so far. They got paid at that bar, the two Gamorreans he spared saved their bacon, too.
So, for someone with only a passing knowledge of Star Wars lore, can someone explain what the hell that thing was in the desert? I thought it might be a krayt dragon when we first saw the claw. But then it's a lizard centaur monster?
I know someone suggested gundark but I looked at the Wookieepedia page and the picture they have bears almost no resemblance.

:)
Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters.Hey, I just thought of something. Doesn't Boba have a jet pack? Why did the shield wall successfully entrap him?
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.I don't really have much to say other than it was really easy on the eyes and that I can tell that the concurrent storylines format isn't going to appeal to me as much as the episodic format of The Mandalorian did.
My theory is that using it would have killed Fennec.
Close quarters with the backblast? Most likely.
Also I personally think the lizard creature was a Gundark. They sort of look alike?
My assumption was that it was damaged and he hasn't had a chance to have it repaired.
Though the proximity issue is also a potential problem as suggested above.
No.
That dude who bought the armour from the Jawas (who we see stealing it in this episode) used it in the season premiere while he and Din were fighting the Krayt dragon. As far as I know, it's fully functional.
.....was he even wearing his jet pack?
One Strip! One Strip! It was a neat trap, but I get the feeling that the mayor doesn't put out hits on people very often. Like, enclosing Boba in a circle of shields to keep him in one spot? Great. What's next? "Uh. I guess. We could poke him with easily broken cattle prods?"
A very clever ambush undermined by nobody involved having any idea how to actually kill someone. Could have been done in five seconds if they'd brought blasters.
I think my favorite part of the episode was Fennec realizing she only had one stabby but needed to hold off two guys. Then realizing she only needed one guy for interrogation, so that kinda solves itself, doesn't it?

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.It's possible that the idea was not to kill Fett but to capture him. Though of course blasters set to stun are still a thing so who knows - maybe this is just a way to distract him from... Something?
"These 'no-nonsense' solutions of yours just don't hold water in a complex world of jet-powered apes and time travel."Wasn't he whacked around pretty good during that fight? Been a while since I saw it.
