A new Disney show is being made called Primos. It's created by Big City Greens director Natasha Kline. The show centers on Tater, an eccentric 10-year-old girl with big dreams and, unbeknownst to her, a certain “it factor” that makes her exceptional. When her 12 cousins (“primos” in Spanish) move in for the summer, they help her discover just what it is. Tater’s aspirations and larger-than-life imagination are seen via entries in her super-secret diary, which turn her deepest thoughts into grandiose animation sequences.

Yeah she might be good and the design is actually cute. She didn't have any role in the animatic thing, so we'll have to see.

For some reason, I really seem to be gravitating to cousin Bud and Lita, at least character design-wise. Though I also know that their characterization will make or break it, as it will for most of these characters. I don't expect them to get deep characterization, not for a while with a cast this big, so I need more info on their personalities and archetypes before I can really say.
I'm somewhat imagining Bud to be a combo of Lori and Leni (Eldest, but friendly) and Lita a variation of Luna. But again, lacking crucial context to be sure. I'm using Loud House as my grounding foundation, but we'll see how much they can separate themselves and make it uniquely their own.

I largely don’t like the show’s artstyle, but I can agree that the girl with the glasses and the girl with the purplish (?) hair look appealing from a design perspective.

Is Bud the tall one that likes cacti? (not cactus, my bad. As you probably gathered, English is not my native language) He seemed chill in the animatic, quirky but friendly.
I don't mind the main character too much either, I like how the braces are decorated, but the torn jeans and flipflops kinda ruin the design a bit. (sadly, it's hard to separate the VA's actions from that, now)
Sadly the artstyle is weird. The noses quickly seem to resemble mustaches, at least in the animatic with no coloring (it's all lineart with voice acting) at times it did look like mustaches. Not counting the bully-shaped boy with the two mustache hairdos. Poor kid.

Bud in the intro was the tall one who had a snake around him. Apparently loves animals and an interesting sense of aesthetics. Lita apparently is a cross between Luna (Cool Rocker) with an underlying Garnet or Camilla (voice of reason, calm, collected. supportive).

Gordita (the scientist girl with the glasses) and Nacho (the big bully) are the ones mostly drawing my attention. I imagine Nacho is gonna be a lot like Bufford from Phineas and Ferb.

I didn't watch the whole pilot, since that was an early version without full animation, so I don't consider myself qualified.
The main character seems to be someone who is a huge introvert.

Pretty much, the whole "terremoto hights is a LA joke" pretty much prove it since I will said most people from LA wont know that(hell I dont know if many in US know it ether), "this have latino representation but inside jokes that people from the state will get" probably tell you a lot of this discourse around it.
