I was interested in it since... porting the story over to a TV series is a unique idea. But where does it pick up? Do we follow Andy and Kyle or are they just cameos?
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).I've watched the first three episodes, and I love it.
Sad to say I dropped it after two. The CW Drama just wasn't working for me. I came here for a Chucky killing spree, not the dweebs.
I think I'm going to wait to pick it back up again when all the episodes are out.

Ok, who let Light Yagami in here? It's not really "CW drama", unless you mean that as a shorthand for Jake being the co-star. Personally i like seeing Chucky trying to push Jake into being a killer.
Episode 3 was good and we got to a flashback about Charles Lee Ray's first kill.

Fact is, "the dweebs" include someone Don Mancini says is basically like him when he was 14 years old - using the project to include a reflection of what growing up gay in the 70s was like. And how alarming it is that things are still so similar in many respects.
I loved how Chucky finally accepted his son as gende—-I'm sorry, I mis-spoke, GENDA FLOOID. Going by the previews, I think there might be a bit of a misdirect and reference to Chucky's first kill.
Chucky corners Jake and Lexy, but when he opens the door, Lexy falls out, dead, and Jake just grins. "Shouldn't have treated me like shit for so long, Lexy."
It's great seeing Andy and Kylie again.
The series has been renewed for Season 2, according to Deadline.
The series was first ordered by Syfy in January 2020 and later became a USA Network simulcast. It marks the last ongoing scripted series on USA Network after the end of The Sinner. It is also one of two top new cable series for Syfy, which is also the home of Resident Alien.
“We’re thrilled to start pulling the strings on a second season of puppet mayhem with Chucky,” said Don Mancini. “Many thanks to our partners at USA, SYFY and UCP for their incredible support and guidance bringing ‘Chucky’ to the small screen, bigger than ever. And to the fans, Chucky sends his still-undying thanks, and a message: ‘This isn’t over, not by a long shot. You better watch your backs in 2022.’”

I can't help but think that fighting Chucky at this point is Fighting a Shadow, that is, if you kill a body, it turns out that there are many more waiting.
Trailer for season 2
The First manSo Chucky Season 2.
Except for Nadine and the main characters, the Incarnate Lord kids are insanely creepy.
Seems like Jennifer Tilly is in the Tiffany doll.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the series has been renewed for Season 3.
Created by Don Mancini — the mastermind of the Child’s Play movie franchise — Chucky, from Universal Studio Group’s UCP, follows the murderous, serial killer-possessed doll as he wreaks havoc on a new set of characters. The show’s second season was among the top 10 dramas in cable among adults 18-49.
“The cast and crew of Chucky would like to thank fans and critics alike for their overwhelming response to season two, which we’re delighted to announce has now spurred the official greenlight on season three,” said Mancini. “This news has made Chucky very happy. Thank Damballa for that because otherwise Chucky would have been frankly impossible to deal with. Many thanks also to our partners at Syfy, USA and UCP for helping us keep Chucky busy. See you in 2023 for what Chucky himself promises will be his scariest season ever.”
I wasn't a big fan of how Season 2 was much more comedy-focused like Seed of Chucky, so I hope this next season switches back to a more serious tone.
Jason has come back to kill for Mommy.
Has anyone else been watching the Chucky tv show? It's set in the original continuity and set after Cult of Chucky.
