Now here’s something that, while seemingly unnoticeable, is impacting the wiki on quite the scale. It’s a Phantom Menace, if you would.

The Star Wars character pages are in a weird spot. It’s split between a central character index and a small handful of individual pages for certain works (such as Star Wars: Visions and Star Wars: The Vow of Silver Dawn). The logic behind this is that certain works exist in Broad Strokes and thus they may not exist in the "main" continuity, but the entire franchise exists in Broad Strokes, very few elements remain consistent across the entire Expanded Universe.

Another issue creeping up onto us is the fact Star Wars Legends has its own set of pages unrelated to the main Star Wars pages. This may have seemed like a good idea a few years ago, but many elements have returned to the new Disney continuity, and it’s unlikely that we’ve seen the end of the returns.

To clarify, are all Star Wars works meant to be in the same continuity, regardless of media? The Darth Vader from the films, from the comics, from the video games, from the novels, etc; are they meant to be original and adaptations (like the Iron Man from the comics is a separate one from the MCU one), or are they meant to be always the same character?

From what I’ve seen 90% of all Star Wars media in the last ten years has made some attempts to be canonnote .

There are sort of two continuities for Star Wars. Everything before Disney took it over is now classified as "Legends" and everything after is supposed to be part of the same canon, along with the Skywalker Saga movies.

The Legends Expanded Universe is...a wild place full of extremely weird inconsistencies because Lucas Film kinda rubber stamped just about everything. Characters are (usually) in the same families and have the same kinds of relationships to each other (or roughly so—the more major they are, the more consistent that is), but their ages (comparative to each other), personalities, jobs, and life experiences will vary wildly based on what the author wanted to do with it.

However, any element that is re-added to canon should only be considered to be inspired by the Legends version, not to be the same thing. Except the six pre-Disney films (Episodes I–VI), and Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Those are canon in both continuities.

For example, the Grand Admiral Thrawn introduced in Star Wars Rebels is strongly inspired by the one from Legends as introduced in The Thrawn Trilogy, to the point of having a whole series of novels written by the same author as that trilogy, but his backstory and characteristics are altered to fit the new canon, and he doesn't take the same actions or interact with the same characters as he did in Legends. The Thrawn Trilogy itself has not been re-canonized.

I'm not familiar with the Character pages as such, but that is the reason we have three separate Star Wars franchise pages: Franchise.Star Wars for the films and as an overview, Franchise.Star Wars Legends for the old continuity, and Franchise.Star Wars Expanded Universe for the new. These are somewhat confusingly named, as outside the wiki "Expanded Universe" is still used to refer to what is now Legends, and Disney would prefer that we consider the films and all new material to be one canon, no EU involved.
