It sounds like there's consensus support for...

  1. Removing the soft-split
  2. Emphasizing that Colony Drop is for when a character causes the disaster
  3. Moving the natural disaster examples to a TLP draft

None of these options are changing the trope so much as removing misuse from an existing trope.

[up]Wholeheartedly agree here. Don't know if a TRS thread is necessary, but I can definitely handle the "natural disaster" TLP draft if need be.
