S2E7: Did not expect spotlight episodes for the Louise/Lou and Patrick/Ricky pairings.
Lou's cuteness is the real deal, it gets people to talk. Making those expressions must have been difficult for her typically taciturn face. Also glad that Louise learns a little from Benjamin about treating Lou more humanely.
Patrick has always thought highly of Ricky and it's interesting that he seems to have developed a legitimate inferiority complex to his living doll. Because his encounter with Emilico has caused him to view living dolls as more than tools and faces. The craziest part is Patrick has actually fallen in love with Emilico. Now THAT is juicy, and probably prohibited in the House, which makes it even juicier.
Oh and turns out John was summoned by the Star Bearers so they can scold him about trying to marry Kate without going through the proper procedures. John, you are the gift that keeps on giving.
S2E8: Now all the clues regarding Mr. Robe's have been gathered. I'm surprised it turned out to be Maryrose, because she was the obvious culprit. It makes sense that Rosemary was deliberately getting scorched rather than her being extraordinarily clumsy. Rather than the reveal of who Mr Robe is, the juicier tidbit we get this episode is that they explicitly confirm that Shadows are some kind of being that mimic humans called morphs. And that Kate knew she was a morph before she became a Shadow.
John was on a roll in this episode. He ends up finding the two key pieces of information that lets Kate zero in on the culprit, he counts Emilico as Team Brawn, and he counters Robe's "The Reason You Suck" Speech with "If you hurt Kate any more, I'm going to punch you." Seriously why is he such a best boy.
Chapter 141:
Speak of the devil! Best boi John appears to counter Gilbert and his plans to fight the Star Bearers.

Chapter 142:
John vs Gilbert! This was John's chance to showcase what he learned from Maryrose. Unfortunately, it would seem as though he learned nothing, and now, he has to face a Gilbert that has already transformed into a soot monster...
Things have felt a little ploddy for a while, so I'm glad they're picking back up.
It's been fun.
S2E9: Maryrose and Rosemary are formidable opponents. And it’s hard to blame them for rebelling, especially when we learn exactly what reaching adulthood means for a shadow and their living doll. Spoilers: it ain’t pretty. Especially when the ceremony fails.
Chapter 143:
Aaaaaaaand John is down...
S2E10: Emilico’s secret weapon: bread roll
Kate’s secret weapon: John Punch
And it works! The speed chess was intense, but ultimately Maryrose and Rosemary are defeated. But that unfortunately means… disposal. At least they get to die together.
Chapter 144:
At John's lowest point, Shaun came to him. Kate expected him to talk him out of this, but Shaun had a different idea: he basically said that at this rate, Kate will look for another suitor like Oliver or even Gilbert. This instantly riled John up, and by the end, JOHN PUNCH!! All with the power of love!

S2E11: Were you expecting anything else other than a Maryrosemary suicide pact?
The biggest reveal for me is that Anthony was one of the brains of the operation, helping Christopher become as revered as he is. And that there’s a good chance he’s still alive. Could he be in the outskirts of the Shadows House, forming a rebel group?
S2E12: What do you know, Anthony showed himself sooner than I expected. And there's a good chance Maryrose and Rosemary are still alive. Definitely feels like there's a resistance movement hidden somewhere.
It is rough seeing Emilico visibly distressed about "trivial matters". So hell YES when Kate attempted to clean. Now that is a show of camaraderie. Look at Emilico smile.
Haha Sarah is pissed she didn't make team leader. Good for Kate though. And Emilico is super badass as a team leader.
Louise and Lou are continuing their workout regimen. Nice!
And with the 2nd season done, my thoughts: most of it was pretty in line with the manga, so that's a relief! Now to wait for Emilico's past and Kate's past to be adapted!
Chapter 145:
The aftermath of the battle: John may have won, but he incurred a bone fracture. Here, we learn about Evelyn's soot power, used to heal.
Chapter 146:
Both John and Gilbert recover in beds, and the Star Bearers are about to have a meeting!...
Chapter 147:
Kate tries to convince Barbara to side with her against the adults, but fails...

Chapter 148:
Barbie gets pissed at Emilico, and then, she remarks that she reminds her of her former self... One thing leads to another, and now, Barbara and Barbie are on Kate & Emilico's side (I guess...)
So I finish the anime second season and this are my views:
-I have to said im impressed, it feel equal or sometimes even better sequel at times, it get a little bit slow the first four episodes but it hit better once it focus in the mystery of the hooded person.
-Is kinda surprising how much it juggle with so many damn chararters at the same time, some feel more out of focus than other like rick/andrew and lou/louise, I dont like how little screentime barbara/barbie have consider how shill she was in opening/ending.
-Speaking of ending....it pretty much give away who the culprit was actually. Which made the whole mystery feel bland to me, specially with how little screentime Maryrose/Rosemery got, but what little time they have they really make for it.
-Also is just me and rosemery/meryrose got a little bit of....yuri feel between the two? or is just me?.
So far that is pretty much, I hope to see the third season soon.

Rosemary and Maryrose are definitely together, yes.
And yeah, I think part of the reason why S2 feels a bit tighter than S1 is because S1 had to cut out some content (largely regarding Robe-sama) and also set up for a Gecko Ending in case there wasn't enough interest for a season 2. With this it seems like we're going back to a more faithful adaptation.
It's been fun.
S2E5: Shaun and Emilico have a conversation about being human. They figure quite a few things out. I also wonder if it is in fact Emilico who came from a rich family.
Even the hooded man can’t find it in himself to harm Emilico.
Brainwashed Emilico is still unsettling. But also funny. Her sleeping position while tied to a chair XD Truly nothing brings her down.
Jeremy sure is a character. Freaking scorch hamster wheel. And I think John needs to work on his relationship chart…
Looks like John is also on the Star Bearers’ list of suspects.
