GENIUS MANGAKA AKA ASAKA
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Chapter out: in which Ruby shows that yes, she is Aqua's sister, Melt gains Best Boy points for those not into crazy, and we learn why you never trust an anime guy named Kamoshida around underage girls.
What's the other example? Heard that elsewhere.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.The sexual predator coach from Persona 5.
Who's the girl with Ruby?
Her friend from school, the gravure idol.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Shueisha's official twitter account for Kaguya-sama has Aka outright state that Oshi no Ko is set several years in the future after Kaguya-sama.
Here is a rough Google translate of what the tweet says:
☆ [Oshi no Ko] is a time series several years after "Kaguya-sama", and it seems that the student organization members will also become members of society.
Side note: reincarnation is a thing in Kaguya-sama.
So Shiranui Koromo from Kaguya-sama is probably related to Shiranui Frill
Is it spelt the same way for both of them?
yup, same kanji: 不知火 (Shiranui)
Chapter 54 is out. Kana is delightfully petty.
CATFIGHT!!! Damn, they stooped really low a few times there.
This is catty as hell lmao.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.And Aqua is still stuck with these two after the play is over, can also see his performance impacting their rivalry.
Ok, this was a funny chapter, up until the end at the least.
Yeah, definitely shipping writer and mangaka here.
Fun to see the Love Now crew back, and Mem-cho teasing Yuki.
"Oh, that's Aqua's sister" "Where do they get those genes?!" Hehehe, yeah, that's the big question isn't it.
Smug Ruby was fun, and bringing back so many characters for this was a good idea.
And there's Aqua's PTSD back, let's hope this doesn't go wrong.
Ginormous Act Age vibes here.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Aqua is really pressing on something I really think he shouldn't be, hope things turn out well. Also hoping Melt manages to redeem himself.
Seen that comparison a lot, can someone explain?.
I can feel Mengo begging Aka to include that part of Melt's backstory in the first page of Ch. 57.
Something like that is what you would see in Scum's Wish or her doujin oneshots.
Yeah, that really does feel like her style. Well, Aka did say that On K is a story she would like.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.What, a fanservicey scene that's actually rather dark in context? Haven't read Scum's Wish, but that tracks from what I know about it.
Also people pointed out that the whole kid who gets bullied, plain glasses girl, good-for-nothing otaku seeming so much cooler when they reveal a cool side thing seems to be a nod at how Aka writes for Kaguya-sama.
"It'd be lit."
That seems so wrong coming from Aqua.
Well, he is a cumulatively-40+-year-old man aping teenage slang.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Finally getting to what happened between the girls.
Oshi no Ko has been on a 4 or so week break that should resume serialization either this week or next week but in the mean time it has taken 1st Place in the Tsugi ni Kuru Manga Award 2021 Physical Category ahead of stuff like Frieren at the Funeral, Kubo-san, and every WSJ manga that began serialization in 2020. It was also announced to have over 2 million copies before Vol. 5 released.
This series feels guaranteed to have an anime based on its own merits without even regarding the previous work of both the author and the artist.
