The audio drama is making Sakura look less innocent.

Among Shiho's big truth, Nikado's lie, and Sakura's two truths, there's: "Had plastic surgery", "Sexual favors", "Murder", and "Online gossip".

Of course, murder could be Nikado's lie, given how she might be acknowledging that Shiho at least believes she'd be willing to kill someone.

Man, felt bad when Baba told Shibagaki they should break up. Ooof.

Mystery Kiss sure is living up to the mystery part of their name.

I have even less of an idea of who did the murder. I am glad to see center idol wasnt milking Baba, though. I'm also glad to see not everyone understands Yano.

I’m suspecting Sakura, the Yuki replacement a little bit.

Hmm... Sakura's ambition did seem high. She did say that she failed the audition but placed 4th in choice, but she could not settle for that. From that and her knowledge of wiretapping from the audio drama, making her smarter than she seems, it would be in line to say that Sakura might have had a hand in Mitsuya's death. However, I'm not sure how this would connect with other loose threads within the story.

Somebody brought this line about Nikaidou to my attention. I went and checked, it's from episode five at around 5:34.

I have this instinct that who ever killed the original Yuki was someone connected to Donraku and that criminal. Considering no one in the yakuza we met might have done it. Yano says that Yuki was bludgeoned then choked so there was a struggle but it wasn't at the music studio. because everything in the room of discovery was too clean.

There are still some mysteries about the Donraku eraser and Tanaka is still on the loose. Here's hoping we get answers to what happened to them.

What a great penultimate episode!

Operation ODDTAXI goes off extremely well, but Odokawa led Tanaka to the meeting place and we get confirmation that Dobu is ditch-11, but there's still reasonable doubt he was personally responsible for the eraser scam. He incorrectly assumed that Tanaka fired all his shots, but was proven horribly wrong.

Homosapiens' act went off the rails, and Nagashima's got the pen now. The audio drama doesn't enlighten much, just that he tracked the pen down after Sakura discarded it. He says the next episode will be the last of his radio show, but promises it'll be spectacular.

I loved that Yano was so frustrated at being duped that he couldn't rhyme anymore.

Yeah it was a great episode!

I can't wait to see all the threads come together in the next (and final) episode! Also, can't wait to see the last episode of the audio drama!

Now for the charm Elder Daimon showed Little Daimon. This was seen in multiple episodes before, in Odokawa's car, which means as Dobu's boss gave the thing to Elder Daimon, so too did Dobu's boss likely give the thing to Odokawa. How, I wonder...? Well, can't wait for the next episode!

I am still not 100% sure Dobu was ditch-11. Donraku is also a primate in this anime so it is possible Donraku was ditch-11. Donraku apparently had money troubles himself so it's possible that the boss helped Donraku either with the eraser scam or helped Donraku hack his way to the top of Zooden. But regardless Dobu is bleeding out so he might die as the awesome but dangerous man he was. It was kind of foreshadowed when he intimidated Odakawa reminding him and the audience he is a bad guy.

What an amazing episode. The standoff was tense. And when the eraser dropped, holy shit.

Also confirms that Tanaka still had a bullet left, so we can assume it was Little Daimon who shot Dobu at the harbor, considering the talk about the younger brother “losing” his gun. Since he misused his gun he’ll probably turn himself in alongside his brother.

I think I can safely say that the Kuro-chan Donraku was talking to was Kuroda, the tapir with the tattoos. And given the Daimon brothers and Odokawa have the same keychain, that means Kuroda was the mysterious sponsor for these orphans.

“Yano-san, you stopped rhyming!” was both the most awesome and most hilarious part of the episode for me.

Dobu mentions that their boss only has one rule, which is either “make me money” or Thou Shall Not Kill.

And we haven’t even gotten back to the Mitsuya murder mystery yet.

EDIT: Forgot to give my applause to Tanaka’s utterly unhinged screaming. Incredible job by the VA.

@Matchingbone From what we see from the profile picture, the silhouette has Dobu's two cheek tufts and jacket. Dobu even questioned how Odokawa knew before remembering he has that ability. He is at least the ditch-11 that played Zooden.

And though it's probably an animation error, because ditch-11 and Baba's Zooden user ids are the exact same, there's now a theory that Baba killed Yuki so that Donraku would be pushed to retire and a new rising star could take his place, namely himself. Rui becoming Mystery Kiss's lead in the process was just a bonus. Of course, we'll see if it does come true.

[up] you have a point, but if it's true that Dobu used to play then how would ditch-11 be still number 1 at the present moment? It could be a case of Artistic Liscense of sort or a plot point. Who knows?

Dobu could have sold his account, plenty of people shell out for stuff like that. And we have to take Dobu’s words with a grain of salt, he even admits to lying in that scene.

For what's it worth, some fans have speculated that the yakuza has been using Zooden as a means of laundering dirty money, hence why Dobu would have an account with presumably tons of money invested into it.

Hmmm...
A bit of a crack theory, but what are the chances that Donraku was the one who killed his own daughter.

Well… why would he, though?

Well... Donraku's working for Kuroda, and last episode, Donraku said that he's sorry that he could not help Kuroda. I thought that through that line and the fact that he was never mentioned that much in the anime to say that it would be much of a surprise to have Donraku finish off Mitsuya.
Then again, I must really be on crack to even say such a thing when there's not enough info to substantiate it...

Two things to mention in this post because not many know about it.

First thing is that the manga helps explain why Sakura even took Tanaka's phone to plant. It's because she mistook his taxi for the one she was supposed to go in. I'm not sure if why she accepted is explained, but I assume he paid her to do it.

Second, the episode referenced PUNPEE's song 'Riding on a Time Machine' twice, first with Homosapiens' act, and also when Imai was walking back from the bridge and talking to Odokawa, the background featured a couple of references to the music video.

Farewell, Odd Taxi...

We finally get a proper explanation for why Odokawa's started seeing people as animals. He was mentally and emotionally fragile as a kid due to a combination of being bullied and having a crappy home life, which is why he connected with animals more. Once he gets fished from the water this time, he starts seeing people as humans again, as well as being able to sleep normally. I can't get over how handsome Yamamoto looks, though.

As I predicted earlier, Sakura turned out to be the killer and plans to off Odokawa to cover her tracks, but there's still the implication that Odokawa knows she was the one he drove to the studio the night of the murder, so there's still a chance it's a "Ray of Hope" Ending. By the way, she was also foreshadowed to be the murderer on the back of the Mystery Kiss album where her arm has specks of blood on it.

The final audio drama focuses on most of the cast at a party at Taeko's bar. It's revealed she's the pen's owner, but when Nagashima picks up a current broadcast from the pen, Sakura assaults and possibly kills her to take it and tells Nagashima he's next.

God damn, what a beautiful ending. Another possible murder to cap off a murder mystery. How lovely.

Figured Odokawa had some type of visual agnosia. Not usually how that works but I’ll take it. Was nice seeing everyone in their human forms.

And basically all the reveals and developments were set up perfectly from the very beginning. Master-class writing all the way.

There's a Blu-Ray order campaign done. The anime production committee staff said that there weren't plans to do one since sales have plummetted lately.
