Information about the setting:
"In a setting like this, there’s a lot of opportunity for world building confusion and different ideas, so I think we should go over some of that ahead of time. Some background will be made clear in the starting post (with which I am almost done) but it would be better to explain some things in this server and the discussion thread (because not everyone’s in this discord).
-In this setting there’s pretty much zero Masquerade with regards to the supernatural existing. Although humans are the largest single population, they are still a minority of everyone on Earth, so hiding the supernatural would both be pretty much impossible and there wouldn’t really be a reason for it yk
-the definition of people in this world contains both regular humans and magical creatures, just anyone that has conciousness, is capable of communicating, stuff like that.
-society is pretty much like it is now, however there would probably be like offshoot communities that don’t exist in real life like a society of just selkies that live together separated from the rest of the world, for example
-Magic exists as like a thing you can study and learn about
-there are also magical creatures that are not people, like just monsters. Unicorns some types of demons etc
If anyone has any questions or ideas whatsoever, please bring them up"
Information about phoenixes in this universe:
"So, idea about phoenixes, at least culturally, I implied a few things in my backstory I could stand to flesh out
-phoenixes live a long fucking time (probably a given for a lot of supernaturals)
-they have that elf aging going on, where 20 is both an adult and not an adult for them
-they're kinda reclusive? I was imagining that they don't necessarily never interact with humans but if you're going to mention meeting supernaturals, phoenixes are probably low-down on the list of things you interact with frequently because they tend to hang out in mountains or peaks"
