And for a fun bit of trivia, the dad's actor was on 7th Heaven as the eldest son.
Ya know I'm not a fan of the added military element to Naomi's backstory.
Cause especially airing alongside Superman and Lois its like too much military stuff plus its prolly just to add a lot more drama in Naomi's dad possibly being ordered to deal with her.
Huh nice trivia.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."No surprise about Naomi's dad judging from the source material.
The thing about the military in this show and Superman and Lois harks back to the fact that unlike the other Arrowverse shows where the hero is basically a private citizen with independent funding and his own team, Superman and Lois focuses more on the family aspect, so they need the military there to handwave away whoever does stuff to assist Clark. In this series, the military aspect is likely to explain away certain details about the dad that would not make sense otherwise.
I knew that her parents knew more than they said. I just hope the build-up won't last too much longer, I finally wanna see Naomi cut loose with her powers.

Like this episode was particularly contrived when it made clear the purple-hair girl doesn’t go to their school yet she just happened to show up helping a professor when on their field trip. And then all 6 of them are in the lab with her with no one providing the lookout she wanted because they all felt the need to be there.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."The fight scene with that Bounty Hunter was cool. Otherwise, not that much happened this episode. But I'm glad Naomi is that chill with her parents. We don't need any forced drama.
I also would've preferred her with Anthony, tbh.

Certified: 48.0% West Asian, 6.5% South Asian, 15.8% North/West European, 15.7% English, 7.4% Balkan, 6.6% ScandinavianNaomi is back after a Olypmic Break and it's a Summer Campy episode. Not too bad, but obviously a bit more calm before a storm.
I was surprised that Dee was described as a former War Criminal though.
Certified: 48.0% West Asian, 6.5% South Asian, 15.8% North/West European, 15.7% English, 7.4% Balkan, 6.6% ScandinavianHuh so it looks like Naomi's powers are different here.
Naomi in the comics is a pretty general flying brick character. She's really strong and can fly. The most distinctive thing is that she can make her hands glow but I've never seen her fire a rayblast or anything in the books I read.
Here though its a bit...... vague. In the first instance she makes a bunch of leaves and dirt float around her, I think she also pushes a guy with like an invisible wave, then she picks up a concrete pillar so super-strength now, and now she fires energy blasts, and the next episode shows she might have x-ray vision.
Seems like she has multiple powers in the show.
Dang Dee is a Thanegarion after all.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Sooo Zumbado might not be so bad after all. Dr. Bell is an interesting new character. Possible Big Bad?
On another note, I'm glad Anthony and Nathan are starting to get along.

Wake me up at your own risk. It's fine, a little boring but I suppose that's to be expected since they don't have a lot of the source material to crib from.
The series really picked up speed now! Loved The Reveal of Zumbado being Good All Along.
Certified: 48.0% West Asian, 6.5% South Asian, 15.8% North/West European, 15.7% English, 7.4% Balkan, 6.6% ScandinavianYeah this was a really solid episode.
Probably my favorite since the first one.
Yeah this was a pretty good episode, really moved the plot along nicely.
And the adaptation changes are pretty funny, Brutus has now ascended to the big bad when originally in the comics he is merely a lieutenant of Zumbago who is actually the primary architect for their worlds destruction.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."This one was a nice episode too. Aside from the Alien stuff, I really liked Anthony and Nathan becoming friends with Lourdes.
Certified: 48.0% West Asian, 6.5% South Asian, 15.8% North/West European, 15.7% English, 7.4% Balkan, 6.6% ScandinavianJust watched last night's episode. The sort of format's been used before, but I thought it worked well, and was both fun and suspenseful and moved the overall story arc forward. And that twist at the end... I did not see that coming.
Saw it now too. Woah. A WILD twist! Did not expect that!
Certified: 48.0% West Asian, 6.5% South Asian, 15.8% North/West European, 15.7% English, 7.4% Balkan, 6.6% ScandinavianPoor Lourdes. Also, I guess it makes sense for Naomi not to instantly go back to normal, after a reveal like that. At least she now has one more protector.
Certified: 48.0% West Asian, 6.5% South Asian, 15.8% North/West European, 15.7% English, 7.4% Balkan, 6.6% ScandinavianSooo, now only Anthony and Lourdes are left who don't know.
Certified: 48.0% West Asian, 6.5% South Asian, 15.8% North/West European, 15.7% English, 7.4% Balkan, 6.6% ScandinavianThe move by the Mark Pedowitz-run CW was not totally unexpected.
While garnering a lot of critical acclaim, including from Deadline, Naomi was in a constant battle to find an audience, especially online. The show suffered several preemptions since its January 11 debut, including for the Beijing Olympics and for consecutive weeks in early March. It also has to be noted, because this is Hollywood, the proposed sale of the CW had to play a role in the lack of a Naomi renewal.
That blows for the show, even though I dropped it early. I hope they can get HBO Max to take up for season two or talk with Warner Bros Discovery about putting it on Cartoon Network or something (since apparently they'll be airing the Degrassi reboot too).

A shame. Despite the low budget, this show was enjoyable and I was looking forward to see how they'd handle things after that season finale.
Credit to the CW, their recent shows have been better at avoiding this issue. We've come a long way from Smallville taking six seasons for Lana to learn Clark's secret.
