One of Cartoonshi's videos (I think it was about Steven Universe Future's finale) contains a part where he says something to the effect of "my head exploded" while talking about how bad it was. However, the visual to this is the gory exploding head from Scanners, which scared me so much when he showed it. It was practically a screamer except without a loud noise. Granted, it did fit with what he said, but it was still horrific enough that I don't even want to look at it again

I want to start by nominating this Lyrics video of Alejandro Sanz's Cuando Nadie Me Ve.I was super into the lyrics when all of a Sudden A REALLY CREEPY SKULL shows up!
It makes sense because the lyrics evoke Hamlet's "To Be Or Not To Be" at that point but its completely out of the blue otherwise and really scary as a result.
