NOTE: You don't have to make a new galaxy for every planet. It's highly recommended that you use existing ones, but since it's the start of the game I'll give it a pass for a while.

Also, if I forget to update after a while, please be courteous and update yourself. I can't be everywhere at once.

Name: Rogue

System: Procgen

Galaxy: Videogame

Appearance: A terrestrial planet with similar size and mass to Earth. Rogue's most defining feature is the recurring shifts in reality all around the planet. This phenomenon constantly alters the surface geography; a mountain may shift to the side, rivers alter their course, even an entire forest can be replaced by a scorching badlands in an instant. In rare instances, even civilized areas such as towns are known to be appear as well.

Near the equator of planet is an ancient ruin of unknown origin known as The Mapworks. Many chambers inside the ruins contain machines known as Map Devices. When a "map" is placed, the machines generate several portals which connects to an unknown (theorized to be interdimensional) space containing a single biome. This biome is populated by creatures consistent in behaviour with those encountered on Rogue (see next section). Further research is ongoing.

Creatures: Due to the nature of the planet, it is hard to say if any species can be called native to it. Creatures that can be only found in a specific planet a galaxy over have been spotted materializing along with their habitats.

Towns, camps, and similar areas are often inhabited by humanoid beings. Most appear to be humans, though similar species have been recorded, and typically act much like their appearance suggests (i.e. farmers will tend the field, security guards patrol and watch over an area). A notable deviation is their tendency to ritualistically venerate "maps" (see previous section). These maps may take the form of stone disks, sophisticated data drives, or simply a parchment with symbols drawn on it. It is unknown if these beings manufacture the maps. No communication attempt with these beings have been successful.

One trait they share in common is unabashed hostility against offworlders. The cause of this is unknown, as aggression has been noted to present even in creatures known to be extremely docile. Autopsy has been deemed impossible as carcasses vanish several minutes after death.

Moons: A space station, Skinners Box, and two natural satellites (dubbed RNG-D6 and LWT-80X)

Just bimbled into the Trope Games Forum today and stumbled across this thread by chance, but I've been hanging onto this idea for years and I'd never forgive myself if I didn't post it in here and now.

  • Name: Ossuaria
  • System: Calcius
  • Galaxy: The Milky Way
  • Appearance: A chilling sight for all who behold it, and a stark contrast to the rest of the sickly sweet galaxy, Ossuaria resembles nothing more or less than a titanic skull and crossbones. The planet itself is the gargantuan humanoid skull. Its entire dusty surface, in every shade of white ever envisioned, is formed from the compacted skeletonised matter of every known sapient race in the Nine Galaxies, and more are being added all the time. This is because the planet is a regular pilgrimage spot for the roving hordes of Gorgutan Space Pirates, who, as a matter of course, gather the remains of all who are killed in their battles, friend and foe alike, and take them to Ossuaria to be pounded into the ground and form an everlasting part of the grisly cosmic memorial. The two ocean-sized craters that form the eyes, glowing with ethereal light, are where the Gorgutans pour the souls- yes, the very souls collected from their battles. Traditionally, the souls of enemies go in the left eye and the souls of allies go in the right, but both inevitably drain into the cavity at the planet's core.
  • (Incidentally, the planet was originally shaped like a Gorgutan skull, but centuries of skeletal remains being pounded in have gradually warped it into the exact shape of a human skull)
  • Creatures:
  • Very little life is native to the deathly planet itself, save for the occasional skeleton monsters that drag themselves up from the dust, animated by some lingering remnant of a soul. The closest thing to a native race would arguably be the Gorgutans. According to legend, their forefathers were in such dire need for room to stick their corpses that they commissioned the skull-and-crossbones planet from a magrathean factory, one that invented such tailor-made worlds as the rock-and-roll planet and the milk-and-cookies planet (allegedly the cradle of civilisation for so many milk and food-based worlds in the galaxy). However, the Gorgutans do not actually reside on the planet, preferring instead to constantly roam the stars in their caravans of ramshackle spaceships, only occasionally claiming another world as their fort.
  • There is, however, civilisation to be found on Ossuaria, but most of it...wouldn't exactly be called living. Shift your gaze to another plane of existence, and you'd find the many ghostly cities inhabited by the Psychopomps of the known universe. Psychopomps, for those who don't know, are the grim reapers, shinigami and angels of death whose job it is to ferry the souls of the dead to the great beyond. Many gods and spirits fit the description, but in this universe, there's a whole lot of mortal souls too- typically those who weren't good enough for heaven, nor bad enough for hell. All who fit in the narrow morality bracket are sent here, to the central base of operations for reaper men, women and other entities, and assigned a kind of death to preside over. The death-dealing world is run like a megacorp, and entire company cities are set up to oversee Deaths by Fire, Deaths by Murder, Deaths by Overeating, really any kind of death you could name.
  • But that's not the only kind of ghostly 'life' on this world. As mentioned before, all the souls of the Gorgutan allies and enemies are dumped in the "eyes" of the world and flow to the centre of the planet. There, it's said, the countless souls have formed...well, less of a city of souls and more like an infinitely expanding apartment complex. Here they are trapped forever, but not entirely cut off from the universe. Journey to the brink of an eye socket, and if you're lucky, you might just be granted an audience with Totenkopf the All-Knowing. Manifesting as a hooded, robed ghost as tall as the sky, Totenkopf is the collective consciousness of all the spirits within the planet. Everything the souls have ever known is known to them. Every opinion they express is drawn from a trillion billion votes. Their input carries a great deal of weight for the Psychopomp boards of directors, not to mention pilgrims from across the stars daring the treacherous voyage to Ossuaria in search of cosmic wisdom. The Psychopomp corporate structure grew up around Totenkopf. Perhaps they were drawn to the mystery of a vast number of spirits, forming a ghost eighty-thousand times the size of god. Maybe their hearts went out to the poor innocent souls entombed in the planet, the idea of countless souls barred from the afterlife an affront to their very existence, and that they formed this megastructure with the intention of someday, somehow, finding a way to release these souls to finally journey to their eternal reward... Or maybe they just wanted a place on-brand with death and ghosts, I dunno.
  • Oh, but before I forget, there is one other potential civilisation that could call this world home, at least temporarily. These would be the...Client Races of the Gorgutans. Those societies of upper-crust slimeballs that rake in a steady profit from the Gorgutans and their 'privateer' work. But these clients don't typically visit the dreadful surface of the world unless they have to, usually for business transactions or particularly messy executions. Instead, you'd be more likely to find them on theeeee...
  • Moons: Ossuaria has eight moons in total, though they're laid out in a very atypical manner. You've guessed it- they make up the shape of the crossbones, orbiting just beneath the skull. Two moons each are bound together, housed within a nigh-impenetrable bio-metallic shell resembling a bone's joint. The inside of these shells is a holographic surface simulating a typical sky. Each one of a pair of moons takes it in turns to have daylight and a night's sky. The surfaces of the moons, meanwhile, are terraformed environments meant to simulate a pleasing climate. The two moon-twins directly orbiting Ossuaria are Temperate and Polar, while the two further away are Tropical and Subtropical. Both are maintained by the elite of the Client Races, right down to the weather, to make the ideal holiday getaway for the tourists and vacationers of their own kinds.
  • So that's the joints of the bones, but what about the rest of them? Well, each cluster of moons is connected to each other by four massive cylinders of organic metal, and like the wires of fibreoptic cables, they are filled to the brim with roads. Freeways and motorways for wheeled vehicles, ample airspace for flying cars and supersonic planes, even canals for a supposed scenic route by what passes for water, and all along these routes you'll find row after row of every kind of business and shop you could name. Entire townships, cities even, have grown from the commodities, fuel stations and tourist traps littered along the countless roads. At the end of the road, the literal cross-section where the four moon twins meet, you'll find the central government of the Crossroads. Or at least, what gives the illusion of a central government. Give the surface the tiniest scratch, and you'll find a bustling hive of gambling, leveraged buyouts and political skullduggery. The utterly crooked governing body is more of a crime syndicate set up next to a revolving door of whatever aristocrats, bureaucrats and general kleptocrats feel they have the Gorgutan pirate fleets in their pocket. Anyone who becomes too secure in that notion tends to join the pile on the planet itself.

Okay, so I got a little carried away there, but here you have it.

Name: Braben-Bell Point

System: Procgen

Galaxy: Videogame

Appearance: Located some 7000 light-second away from the parent star, Braben-Bell Point is a massive deep space station in the shape of a Cuboctahedron. A rectangular slit serves as an entrance for vessels. The station rotates slowly along its primary axis to generate gravity through centrifugal force. The interior of the station is filled with looming skyscrapers and sprawling industrial complexes, with small gardens placed throughout living spaces. Ships dock in specialized platforms with integrated hangars — a space parking lot, if you will.

Creatures: Humans make up the majority of station-dwelling population. Still, you will find many non-humanoid Privateers, Freelancers, and even Wing Commanders taking a respite in the station.

Owing to Procgen's proximity to the resource-rich Warzone and the industrious Business galaxy, Braben-Bell Point serves as a trading hub for passing freighters, offering services such as commodity markets and ship maintenance. This also makes it a popular spot for mercenaries, as corporations put up job offers to escort their vessels or cull local pirates. Explorers, though more at home in deep space, also makes a point to visit this station often. The sheer volume of traffic passing through makes it a hotbed for rumors—very useful, if you know how to sift facts from the dross.

Moons: None.

Name: Skittlina

System: Candyland System

Galaxy: Milky Way

Appearance: A collection of multicolored Skittle-like asteroids that have only recently been able to coalesce into one mass. The planet itself is comprised of many billions of Skittles bunched up together onto one mass. In addition, the atmosphere reflects light in such a way that there is a perpetual rainbow always present in the sky at all times, even at night.

Creatures: Sentient creatures also made entirely of Skittles. The creatures have sentience right down to a single piece of Skittle, which, even when separated from a larger creature, will have sentience. These creatures also have the distinct ability to join and unjoin with each other at will, akin to cells. Indeed, it's quite miraculous that these single-celled Skittle creatures have sentience themselves, and also have the ability to join together as well to form bigger and more complex creatures. In addition, each color of Skittle also has a distinct personality and physical trait to distinguish them from other types of Skittles, akin to Pikmin. The larger creatures will usually have a combination of personalities based on what colors of Skittles they are fused from.

Moons: Several moons orbit Skittlina, which are remnants of Skittlina's past as a collection of tiny asteroids. Unlike Skittlina, which is comprised of multiple colors of Skittle-like asteroids, the moons of Skittlina are only comprised of a single color of Skittle-asteroids for each moon. In addition, the creatures of the moons of Skittlina, while functionally similar to their counterparts in Skittlina proper, are also comprised of one type of Skittle as opposed to being multicolored.

Name: Kessina

System: Sparklene System

Galaxy: Spectrum Galaxy

Appearance: Slightly smaller than Earth, this planet is entirely covered in vivid hues of purple and pink. The surface is covered with a soft, sparkly, resin-like substance, with it being replaced by solid crystal about 10 feet below the surface on average. These crystals frequently grow to reach the surface. Water bodies of various sizes are commonly found across the planet, and strange, glowing plants grow near these waters. The planet generally has a temperature climate, but the poles each have their own polar ice caps covering them.

Creatures: It's mainly inhabited by mammal-like organisms, which vary between being surface-dwelling, aquatic, and semi-aquatic. Despite being mainly mammal-like, some of these creatures lay eggs and/or reproduce asexually. Smaller, arthropod-like creatures can also be found on both the surface and in the waters. Any creatures are mostly found away from the poles. There, little life can be found, as a result of the harsh conditions.

Moons: Kessina has a single moon, Soradaiya. It's similar to Kessina in terms of color, but with yellow and green instead of purple and pink. The moon's surface is crystalline and rough, with it harboring no life. However, one notable aspect of Soradaiya is that it has a satellite of its own, known as Dairi. It's colored a faded orange, and has a mostly-smooth crust consisting of ice, with water and a crystalline core located below it. Small, bacterial organisms have been found to live in the subsurface sea.

Appearance: A barren terrestrial planet approximately half the size of Earth. Atmosphere is very thin, primarily consisting of carbon monoxide and inert gases. The planet is broken into several continents divided by seas of methane. Scattered across the landmasses are unmarked sites of unknown purpose.

Creatures: The planet was first settled by the ■■■ ■■■■■■■■■■ (colloquially known as "skippers" or "jailors"), a group dedicated to the containment of anomalous objects. Little is known about these enigmatic organization beyond their mission. Supposedly this world houses several detention facilities, each containing paranatural creatures and objects. Name: Serina

System: Seedpile

Main Planet: Umbris (this only applies to moons)

Galaxy: Milky Way

Appearance: Serina has two main continents, one at each pole, and the southern one is covered in ice. Between the two is a wide seaway, dotted with islands. Of note is the small forest on the southern edge of the north continent, which is kept alive by one of the sapient species.

Creatures: A wide array of creatures, even some sapient life. Oddly enough, all vertebrate DNA matches closest to either the Domestic Canary or Guppies. The most accepted reason is that Serina is a "seed world" which is a world populated with a select group of lifeforms and then left to develop. The main groups of terrestrial life are "Tribbets", which have 3 legs and evolved from ray-finned fish, "Metamorph Birds" which have an insect-like lifecycle yet are birds, "Bumblets" which give live birth, "Tentacle Birds", so called because of the tentacles on their bills, and "Sparrowgulls" which are some of the most bird-like in appearance. 4 sophont species have been discovered, the Woodcrafters (tribbetheres),Gravediggers (bumblets), Fork-tailed Babbling Jays (sparrowgulls) and Daydreamers (aquatic bumblets)

Moons: None, and Serina itself is a moon of a gas giant.

(By the way, go check out Serina's website, it's great.)
