Kindreds are absolutely lunatic. That's all I'm gonna say about them.

It's rare to see a massive video game publisher drop by a VTuber's chat to thank them for streaming a given game, but Bandai Namco Entertainment America did exactly that during Doki's Sand Land stream (which recently launched, too).

Regarding the clique theory, it also "worked" because people dug up their past life and found out that all the livers involved in the clique theory, are also members of the same group as Elira in the past. That's how the clique theory started in the first place, I think.

But then they conveniently exclude the livers from the group they don’t want to be guilty who were in the same group

As far as I know, while the clique theory does have evidence with Hanamori or whatever it is called having a lot of members in Niji (especially among the first 5 EN waves), it runs into two main issues due to three talents:

1) Claude was apart of the group, yet unlike everyone else apart of or close to it he didn't get in until TTT, and I think he mentioned applying for Niji's earlier waves before, so unless he was their Zoidberg it doesn't seem like the clique helps one get into Niji.

2) Pomu and Shu. Pomu was associated with the group in her PL and Shu's PL was in it, but while most of the various members have controversies in Niji ranging from "You can just fucking ask" to bigotry/racism to The Black Stream, Pomu doesn't have that in her current persona or her Niji one, and Shu is the only member of Luxiem that doesn't have at least some controversy compared to everyone else but especially Luca and Vox, so it's not like "group=bad person"

Though I'm not quite sure she does actually get more hate than Vox does - if anything, the difference seems to be that Elira doesn't really have a way out audience-wise, while Vox has cultivated a horribly parasocial fanbase that'll stick with him no matter what.

Vox gets a good amount of hate, but it's pretty different from Elira's— Elira is this big villain pulling all the strings, while Vox is just a gross jerk pandering to shitty people. The black stream rarely figures into it, while it's pretty much all of the discourse around Elira now

I mean it's not just that someone at Bamco is a VTuber fan, they've had collabs with Hololive a good few times already. The Relax Time series is by Bandai, for instance.

On the Niji point though, while I admit that I have relatively little sympathy for Elira, precisely due to her having done the infamous black screen stream, I fully agree that there is some very nasty discourse that has been directed at the Livers in general but really, it seems, at the women in particular. It's not that there hasn't been any at the guys, but Ike's role in that stream seems to have been readily forgotten, while Vox has got heat but nearly everyone dislikes Vox outside his core fanbase. Uki is the one exception but it is frankly wholly unsurprising to me that it's race-related.

The way gender and vtubing interacts is interesting in a number of way, but the relevant part for the niji fallout is that most people only seem to have the capacity to care about one gender. And when I say 'care' I mean both capable of liking and disliking. It's fans of the girls who are mad at Elira and Millie, while they're busy supporting Doki and Scarle. The more misguided fans of Luxiem are taking out their anger on Holostars. It is something of a farce

Ike has basically been spared due to a barely talking on the stream to what amounts to “be sad for the fans Ike be sad!!!

Vox has gotten shit for basically acting flippant ‘ atleast Ike and Elira are acting like this is a gravelly serious matter

And well Elira has effectively become the face of the black stream and even if exonerated will probably be like Sayu where no one will cut her a break cause she’s an easy target

Which is probably the biggest evidence against the whole Elira is the villainous mastermind

You had to know you were putting a bullseye on your chest by being the one host the video

Especially when you are running counter to Doki’s neopets stream

Cause your pr department is convinced Doki will drop the tell all drama bomb

So apparently, a crab-themed soulslike came out not too long ago. And of course, resident crab enthusiast VTuber Shiina Amanogawa is right on it :p

So I wasn't really talking about the clique theory but rather how much possible power and the choices that Elira made and had in the branch when this shitshow started, as like I said before she got in Japan on a work visa during that time but still did the black screen stream even though she had the ability to contact the main office to see what they think, and with how both that video and riku's video where released at the same time but with different meanings gives me the impression that she didn't give any heads up especially when she hosted the vid in the first place.

Are you telling me Elira, who'd only been in Japan for a few weeks at that point, managed to meet with AnyColor's lawyers (because they specifically mention that they were given leave by legal to read what they were reading out) and arrange the stream with Vox and Ike, all without anyone else in the company finding out about it? I get that AnyColor is inept, and that Elira very likely has favoritism privileges, but acting like she was the sole mastermind of the black stream who went over management is ridiculous.

Agreed 100%. I'm no fan of Elira at this point, but the idea that she had that much power and pull is a massive stretch and it's starting to feel like demonization.

& I'm just pointing out a detail that she could have talked about it with the main branch but didn't which gives me vibes that she did it by personal choice, not that she a mastermind so don't put words in my mouth I do that plenty enough as is

Talked about what with the main branch, exactly? The way you're talking about Elira makes it sounds like she went over management's heads to stream that thing, despite the fact that it would have needed coordination with Vox, Ike, and Anycolor's own legal team.

Wasn't the common assumption that EN management decided to have that stream done on their own without consulting the main branch, considering how the whole thing just undermined the CEO's apology?

If Anycolor thought that video really did undermine Tazumi's own statement, they would have deleted that video harder than Cover deleted all traces of Hitomi Chris. The fact that it stayed up, and is still up, means that even the main branch signed off on it, or at the very least, condoned its upload in the first place.
