Kina notices the trainer slamming into a Magikarp stand. Wait, a Magikarp stand? Seriously?

She walks over to see what exactly is going on. "Hey, Sheer, are you gonna walk for once? I'll buy you some Magikarp as a treat!" He looks excited at the prospect of fish, and runs on over to the stand.

He takes the 1000 Poké. “Thank you for your service! And you there! Did you hear all that about the eggs? According to the Fortree Weather Institute, a single Magikarp egg has as much value as a chunk of solid gold. Don’t believe me? look it up.”

"Magikarp? Do you want some, boy?"

Squirt shrugs.

"Ok then. Maybe later."

Stew puts two of the Magikarp in Pokéballs, and places them in his backpack. "These better be five-star sushi or I'll pop a Hyper Beam between your eyes."

Kina looks at the salesman. "A single egg? Huh, do they use Magikarp as caviar now? Look, dude, I'm just looking for a snack for me and my Pokemon. Two Magikarps, please."

He took another 1000 Poké from Kina.

“Thank you for your service!”

He had no customers left. Most people were just fishing anyway.

“OK, Wani, this isn’t working. People don’t care about getting rich from these things anymore. I say we expand our horizons.”

Wani growled contemplatively.

“Sorry, we’re closed. Thank you, come again!”

The two left the stand unattended and went by the Slateport seaside to fish for a Feebas.

Nearby, it seems like a strange person was causing trouble for a trader and their customers, who seemed to be wearing an odd outfit.

Stew looked at Kina. "So... what's your... name? Aw, dammit, I'm bad with introductions. I'm Stew."

Duke goes near the strange person.

"Is everything ok here?"

"Name's Kina. And this dipshit here," she gestures at the Piplup going absolutely ham on the fish, "is Sheer."

"Sheer. Huh. Where'd you find it?"

The strange individual turns to Duke, who says "Git lost, kid. I'm busy." They then turn back to the trader, demanding that they pay them money.

"I met him at the seashore back in Sinnoh. What about them?" She points at Stew's Bulbasaur.

"I was looking for berries out in the forest... and she kinda just started following me. I did not consent to her being here, but here she is."

"Ok......", Duke says as he goes to a merchant selling apples.

But Squirt tries to hear what the man is saying.

The individual just ignores what just happened.

Kina proceeds to walk over to another stand, this one happening to be the one where the individual is causing some trouble.

"Hey, don't mean to interrupt, but what are you guys selling here? I'm honestly craving some sorta sweets right now."

Squirt alerts Duke about the man, and Duke looks in his direction.

They turn to see someone else has showed up, saying: "I told 'em an' ah'll tell you: Git lost!" The stranger turns back to the trader.

Stew doesn't really care and just is planning out recipes in his head.

Kina doesn't budge. "Look, dude. I asked you a question. Are you physically incapable of answering a question? I just wanna know: what do you sell here? Asshole."

They turn back and say to them: "You wanna git in mah way? Then I'll force you ta GIT LOST!" They pull out a Pokeball as the civilians who were watching back off.

Even if Stew doesn't care, Berry is going out and watching the commotion. Stew doesn't even notice.
