The Tanit were trying to get educated, trading smuggled books from the Akademiya for other goods.
If they want to go for a different angle in Natlan, it could be neat to see a large Aztec-style city that is mostly populated by darker-skinned tribespeople people and a Spanish-looking city with paler folks living under the Archon's rule.

Oissu!Natlan's inspirations go beyond mesoamerica and Spain or have you forgotten about Iansan our singular confirmed rep of the place.

I absolutely cannot help but adore handsome 2D boysWhile I still wish the Sumeru bigotry "solution" didn't involve quite as much white savior, brainwashing, artificial gods, and mass murder, I'll admit it's not quite as bad as I remember.

It's not as terrible as Mihoyo's first attempt to touch on race issues (Carole....) but also I could live without the racist Jinn, the racist researchers and half of what they're doing with Aventurine in honkai trains.
I don't really mind game's engaging with race issues (this is like....90% of Arknights afterall with even less subtlety though I don't like how they handled Sargon admittedly). But for Mihoyo it kind of just goes halfway except when the part when you see the characters basically called slurs comes up.

I absolutely cannot help but adore handsome 2D boysDo we even actually know what they are doing to Aventurine yet?
Like all there was was one line where Sparkle basically says he is fitting into his Space Racial Stereotype too well. Which people jumped on saying she is Space Racist. But I personally think its a clue that there is more going on with him than meets the eye.

@ Phi Sat
My problem with that approach is that Hispanic American culture (which is one half of Natlan's package) has elements of both Spanish and Amerindian culture combined so you can't really separate the two.
Instead of focusing on relatives that divide us, we should find the absolutes that tie us.Regarding that putative design for the Pyro Archon (or Sovereign or some other character), I wouldn't be surprised if, given the broadly Latin American cultural motifs implicit in Natlan, it will also incorporate a whiff or two of Brazil (Carnival and samba, anyone?).
She is no Samba Quetz.
Instead of focusing on relatives that divide us, we should find the absolutes that tie us.I dunno. Assuming we get a pseudo-Brazil segment in Natlan, it's possible that design could be the closest miHoYo could get to the Carnival/samba vibe with as little as possible risk of stepping into the landmine of Chinese video game regulations (y'know, all that skin).

It is very blatantly her being space racist to get a reaction out of him that is not even in question whether or not you like Sparkle or think she's "really" racist. He gets comments made about his race in a way literally no other character gets when they're being a prick, both Sigonian, Avgin as well as Aventurine's real name Kakavasha are words tied to real life Roma as well as the very particular stereotypes they keep mentioning being commonly associated with them, the leaked description of the Sigonian planar set couldn't be more "Written by a racist white person who has appointed themselves the saviours of the crass noble tribe" if they tried, it's all very unsubtle. The endpoint of the execution does thankfully seem sympathetic to Aventurine in the end with him acting the way he does on purpose, but my issue with Mihoyo has always been that the journey to the endpoint which is why I'd have rather they not make such obvious real life allusions.

I absolutely cannot help but adore handsome 2D boysLooking at Chiori's kit, and she has a Geo construct? How long has it been since we had a character with one?
Also she switches out by herself which is maybe a new gimmick?
ED: wtf her passive is cracked as fuck

Song of the Sirens4.5 stuff: Aside from Chiori's story quest, we also get Lynette's hangout event
Phase 1 banner is Chiori and Itto, Phase 2 is Neuvillette and Kazuha
(sorry chiori, i'mma save up for my windy boi)
New Wish banner: Chronicle, for older characters & weapons being retired from active service: Eula, Klee, and Albedo (plus Jean, Diluc and Mona); has an epitomized path system like the standard weapon banners.
New TCG cards: Electro Cicin Mage, Neuvillette, Charlotte, Kirara
New fancy guide system for new players, talent subscreen is more streamlined
Song of the SirensHere is the FAQ for the new Chronicle Banner
- It uses Intertwined Fates (Limited Pulls)
- The Path caps at 1
- 50:50 with a 90 hard pity
- If you fail the 50:50 you will get a 5* from the same category (Char/Weapon)
- Pull count carries over, the Path count doesn't
- Only characters with a minimum of 3 runs and no "recent" re-run can appear.

There's always a gotcha when playing a gacha.
Though seriously, why do we even have standard wishes at this point?
Looking at that 2nd half made me be like "sometimes the hardest choices require the strongest wills."
They dare make me choose between C1 Neuvillette and C2 Kazuha (I have them at C0/C1 respectively).
Goddammit, Schezo... || *insert incredibly thirsty copypasta about Dr. Ratio*Funnily enough? Same. The decision really comes down to the beta leaks that come the day after an update drops so I can see if anybody in 4.6 looks too good to pass up.
4.6 will probably have Arlecchino and Furina, FWIW
Song of the SirensYikes, that's three powerful characters plus one that's highly anticipated back to back.
Instead of focusing on relatives that divide us, we should find the absolutes that tie us.I also have both Neuvi and Kazu at C0. I definetly gonna get C1 for Neuvi, while Kazu will depend on whether I will get the former with 50:50 and on how good Arlecchino ends up being.
Looking at Kazu's constellations, his C2 is bonkers
Song of the SirensI don't recommend pulling for 5-star constellations as they are expensive and unnecessary. Any of the ones I own are the result of either getting stupid lucky or hubris when I was trying to pull for one of the 4-stars.
But that being said, for 5-star characters after version 1.0 their C2 tends to be quite busted:
Kazuha - You get EM, I get EM, everybody gets EM!
Raiden - What defense stat?
Yae Miko - Level 4 turrets engaged
Arataki Itto - No energy issues here
Ayaka - Snowswirl becomes a blizzard
Nahida - bloom can crit now
Furina - MAX fanfare with no effort
Neuvillette - Listen, you already have C1 Neuv so you're winning already. Did you really need more crit damage on top of that?

God, Furina right after Neuvi? NOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I have literally everything Furina needs, I just need to get the character herself.
Goddammit, Schezo... || *insert incredibly thirsty copypasta about Dr. Ratio*I highly recommend Furina over Neuvi.
Instead of focusing on relatives that divide us, we should find the absolutes that tie us.
They make a point to say they have Cyno backing her in her efforts. And I assume Alhaitham would also be backing her as well.
And in Kaveh's Hangout Event they are attempting to expand the education centers beyond just the Akademiya but having trouble with fraudulent training centers.
