If it doesn't end up going to series I hope the pilot somehow makes it out onto the Internet. I fully believe it is going to be a cringy mess.
But if it actually does go to series, and it's a success... think what else is going to be in store.
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."...There's actually a halfway decent pun there,
I wonder who they'll cast. Katherine Mc Namara would make a good Blossom, but she might be busy with the Green Arrow and the Canaries.
Hannah Marks could be great as Buttercup.

So my first thoughts after learning this was a thing were: "You know what, heck with it, CW's other superhero shows are decent, maybe if nothing else this could just be cheesy fun if nothing else."
Then I read the summary and any confidence I had at this being any good evaporated. Maybe the pilot will still be So Bad, It's Good at best, but nobody's going to want to watch a PPG series like this.
"Pardon me, that extremely loud and extremely deep voice you may have just heard. It was me. Oh, it is such a long story..."If i had no idea who was behind it, I might not be on board. But I've liked almost all of Cody's stuff that I've seen.
Funniest tweet I saw on the potential casting was all the leading ladies of Riverdale. They do have hair colors down.
You can only write so much in your forum signature. It's not fair that I want to write a piece of writing yet it will cut me off in the midThat is kinda funny.
The Weird Sisters from Sabrina also have the hair down, now that I think about it.
To entertain the idea:
- Princess Morbucks seems like the easiest to translate into live-action. Theoretically, she would be a "twentysomething" human with access to Power Armor, which isn't out of the realm of Berlanti's superhero productions.
- Sedusa's supernatural hair could be a CG effect, but her otherwise pale skin and even more human "Ima Goodelady" persona aren't impossible on a TV budget.
- Barring Grubber, the Gangreen Gang could pass off as "relatively human-looking" (even Ace got a more semi-realistic design in Gorillaz universe). I wonder if they'll even reference Power Puff Girls Z as an inspiration, as their take on the Gang◊ is a mixture of Adaptational Attractiveness and Gender Flip in the cases of Snake and Lil Arturo.
- Controversially, HIM is canonically a shapeshifter, so he might end up adopting a human-ish looking form with familiar make-up and wear, while having a full-blown devilish appearance for a CG-heavy scene?
- As mentioned earlier, The Rowdyruff Boys would most likely share whatever approach our leading ladies will look.

Did... they not watch the original? Coz the girls aren't exactly treating their super heroics as losing their childhood, or not having a child hood.
Like, "Lets make the Powerpuff Girls but depressing" is already bad, did "Also lets take a shit on the original while at it" prove necessary?
That still doesn't explain how you'd do Mojo jojo or fuzzy. And in Mojo's case he'd like their Arch-Enemy so would need to appear more often. Especially on a cw budget.
I did see someone suggest using a muppet for fuzzy. As that would be cheaper then cgi and look fairly good depending on which company they use.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."They'd probably make the non-human villains human or some dumb shit like that
She/they. Hirrus Clutumnus is my comfort characterAnimatronic Fuzzy could totally work.
With Mojo, you could go a number of ways. One would be to keep him hidden in shadows and act mostly in a behind the scenes capacity.
You could also give him a human disguise of some kind, maybe even as Mr. Overcoat.
Assuming they even know the series original villains even exist.
...Yes, I suppose we have to assume that.
Though going long with that, they could always make some new villains as well.
Has Craig McCracken or any of the original voice actors (Tara Strong or Elizabeth Daily) reacted to this yet?

I don't think so, no.
While I enjoyed what I saw of iZombie I don't like this. If it was true to the original I could forgive it for any production problems it might have, but if making it darker and edgier? That's unacceptable.
It feels like every year, my status as a Powerpuff Girls fan becomes more and more embarrassing.
Hmmm...I feel like Peyton List, the younger could make a good Bubbles.
Or possibly Dove Cameron.
And then this is the start of the CW's Cartoonverse. With middle-aged Johnny Bravo, Dexter but in Office Spaces, the Kids Next Door from the perspective of the family next door...
As long as this is a genuine comedy, rather than a serious attempt at the concept, I'm cautiously optimistic. The real sniff test will be whether they keep the hyperbolic Lemony Narrator.
KND but from the perspective of the adults would actually be really interesting.
Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢I feel like Cody will definitely lean more towards the comedy side than the superhero side.
It depends on how they strike a balance, really.
Galactic KND when?
I feel like this is relevant.
Only the devil himself could come up with something this diabolical.
