So if you folks were wondering how this was doing, they put out an E3 trailer.

Looks like they're aiming for a 2023 release for the main game, and a spin off, Eiyuden Chronicle Rising, is set for 2022.

Funny how we got this alongside the announcement that Konami is giving Suikoden 1 and 2 the HD remaster treatment.

Here's hoping things work out for everyone.

(How do you guys pronounce "Eiyuden", anyway?)

I hope he passed away peacefully even if the game hadn’t come out. It feels messed up he won’t see his successor to Suikoden come out as people hoped for sad

The reviews are in. Critics who've played the Switch version are giving it 5's, while those who've played the PC version tend to give it 8.

According to Game Two it has severe performance issues on the Switch. I was planning to play it on PC anyway since I have an active Game Pass subscription anyway but it is kinda sad since many would prefer to have such a title on a handheld I think.

I'm hearing that there's a bug on the PC version that links the random encounter rate to your screen refresh rate.

Besides platform specific issues, most of the reviews I have seen say it captures the spirit of old Suikoden but also the artifacts of the PS 1 and PS 2 era.

Its kinda hard to get read on the game without more information x'D Like are there branching paths? Is there secret dating sim? Are there mutually exclusive characters? How many playable characters there are? How much focus they get? Etc

[up]The only answer I know is "120 characters".

Hopefully, people will create guides for this game in the months to come.
