Bumping this, but did Adam ever do his review on the 2019 remake? I looked through his channel and couldn't find it.
With all the memes about women choosing a bear over a man, Hollywood might wanna get on an 'East of the Sun and West of the Moon' adaptationLion King? He's still working on it. It's going to be a whole thing.
The Lion King review is gonna be legendary y'all. He had so much to say that he's apparently splitting it into two parts (he got hours worth of points he wanted to make before Simba even meets Timon and Pumba). He mentioned on stream that he hopes to have part 1 out February/March.
"In 900 years of time and space I've never met anyone who wasn't important."I'm reminded of Evil Con Carne with the character General Skarr. Like Dr. Evil, his name was stupid and self-descriptive and he was literally NAMED scar (Skarr) and of course, he had a scar over his eye. Word of God said General Skarr was based off of Fearless Leader from Rocky and Bullwinkle as well as Herr Starr from Preacher. Obviously, NONE of these characters have any connection to Claw from Kimba the White Lion whatsoever.

It's been 3000 years…I counted 1,111 names in the credits! I even saw my OWN name! It's just a coincidence.
On the IMDb, the highest rated thing to be featured on, Mystery Science Theater 3000 is General Hospital, which has a rating of 6.6. By contrast TheLionKing2019 has a rating of 6.8, higher than anything considered a bad movie or show, yet it still has a 2 and a half hour first part review complaining about how it's the worst movie ever.
What even is life anymore?
Really the movie is a bad movie when you look at in the context of Disney remake and what those movies stand for.
E.T technically is a Isekai movieThe way Jon Favreau and everyone who worked on this movie just keep talking about how "realism" is better is seriously pissing me off.
It's so disrepectful to traditional animation. I'm sick of animation being treated as a lesser art form.

He shows that same clip of Scar (from the 1994 version) grabbing onto Mufasa's paws with his claws 16 times in the review! Call Guinness World Records!
From watching The Lion King remake and Old Boy remake directors interview, it seem like directors who set out to do better the original aren't the best candidate for remaking.
E.T technically is a Isekai movieI just find it weird that they act this way when I have seen both of them do much better work.
It's been 3000 years…I can feel Adum rage when he read Disney nominate for the Best Supporting actors. Like that is some narcissist stuffs that they think their movie is so good that their stars would be qualify to be the first ever voice actors to be nominated for an award that has never been given to voice actor before. That literally spitting on all the voice actors and saying "we can do a better job than you and it isn't even our main job."
E.T technically is a Isekai movieWait, scratch that. In his Kimba video, he shows the same image of Kimba running 23 times. Now that's a world record. I might make a video compilation of that, but it would take awhile...
The video (which I did view in full) actually prompted me to watch the original for the first time in like two decades. Good film btw.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Could only watch the first 16 minutes of the video, before I had to go do something else, but...
... did Jon Fravaeu straight up draw a penis and testicles on the side of Pride Rock? Or was that a joke image that Adam threw in?
With all the memes about women choosing a bear over a man, Hollywood might wanna get on an 'East of the Sun and West of the Moon' adaptationI think that was a joke image. I can't imagine Disney would have let John make a dick, accidental or otherwise.
It's been 3000 years…Adam really needs an editor.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult. If it wasn't a joke image, Adam probably would have commented on it there or cut to him reacting to it in one of his editing streams, or at least put up an "I didn't edit this" disclaimer.
Finally watched the whole video.
It's funny he thinks it's unrealistic that the hyenas would be manipulated by Scar right from the getgo. Um, does Adam not watch the news?
I can't wait for part 2, but if Adam has to put it on the back burner for now (especially now that he has tendonitis), I say take as long as time as he needs.
With all the memes about women choosing a bear over a man, Hollywood might wanna get on an 'East of the Sun and West of the Moon' adaptationI presume you mean to lighten the workload? He mentions in his closing statement that a project like this requires too much direct control to leave to an editor. He does have editors for other projects, though.

If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with? No, he needs an editor to tell him when to cut down on excessive shit. It just hurts his arguments.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult. It's funny because real life lions are expressive and this remake is so soulless.
"Excessive shit" is pretty vague. Anything specific?
Scar himself looks like foreign, weak, and with very female moves.Complaining about the notes the actors hit while singing is excessive.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.
I just found the Kimba video last night, after seeing Saberspark mention it.
One Youtube comment I love is someone said Zootopia exists in a universe where Kimba got all the animals colonized.
