This movie is a childhood classic of mine, and I'd like to make it a bit more accessible by providing translation.

For those who don't know much about it: The Elm-Chanted Forest had a sequel in 1990, called The Magician's Hat. (It is fully troped on the first installment's page, even with some rather fanon-territory stuff thrown in.) The film was never dubbed or even released in English, even though it was a US coproduction.

As for the plot, it's a Darker and Edgier children's fantasy epic (with several music numbers): the Elm-Chanted Forest is invaded by Emperor Mrazomor (the name freely translates to Frostkill) and his Mooks the Icicle Witches that freeze anyone and anything they touch. Thistle the Wizard, at first too busy swooning over Sunny the Fairy Queen to notice the invasion, must step up and save the forest - and fast, because Mrazomor intends to freeze over the sun.

It seems to me that there is no English subtitle available for this movie, making it unwatchable to foreign audiences, even when it's easily found online (under its Croatian name, Čarobnjakov šešir; in our language copyright policing on Youtube is generally slow and ineffective, so I'm sure there's several copies of it there. There was one with a translation a few years back, but they get weeded out and then pop up again constantly).

Now, I can make a subtitle for it if there's interest, in the .srt format separate from a video, but I don't know where I could put that subtitle if I made it. Any suggestions? Anyone interested?
