The story!

In the beginning, there was peace. A wonderful calm between humans before the great wars, before the tribes, and before even the Moon Scourge. That peace was then interrupted when man took it's first steps towards corruption, with the discovery of gold. At this point the human brain was simple, but there were those who evolved. Intelligent that were as smart as an average man today. Magnus, the engineer, was the greatest inventor of his time. Tidus, the chef, a culinary master, he created the first versions of many foods we still eat today. Marianne, the diplomat, she knew exactly what to say to calm anyone down. These three humans were praised as kings and ruled the entire world in harmony. But, over time, they realized the usefulness of gold, and wanted it all for themselves. They split the rule of the world into three parts and each of them ruled a different part.

The First Great War!

Land was distributed equally between all three rulers, sometimes land would be traded for other resources such as gold, or food. The first Great War began when Marianne's land ran dry of gold and she had nothing left to farm, for a great famine had spread across her land. She pleaded with both Magnus and Tidus desperately to trade with her, and while Tidus agreed, Magnus had grown bitter of his fellow rulers. Tidus traded massive amounts of food and gold for around 50% of Marianne's territory. Little did Marianne know that Tidus and Magnus had conspired to destroy Marianne. You see, Magnus had made great advancements in weaponry and mechanics, creating the first carriages, sword, and spears, but was starting to falter in the food department. With this in mind, he tried to make a trad agreement with Tidus, and when that failed, he raided Tidus's main village, taking many hostages. Tidus saw the situation he was in, and gave in, agreeing to follow Magnus's orders. Magnus had changed drastically since he was given full power over his land, morphing into an all commanding tyrant with a desire to rule the world. Now, with a full army at his command, Magnus planned to take over Marianne's land by sending his troops disguised as transporters for the food shipments. This first great war was by far the shortest because of only one reason.

The Moon Scourge!

During the raid on Marianne's land, Tidus sent in troops a well, hoping to betray Magnus and aid Marianne, but what he didn't know was that this would cause the awakening of an ancient deity residing on the moon, Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto. Furious at his forced wake-up call, the god released his wrath upon the earth, splitting the land into many different parts. Raging until he was once again exhausted, Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto went back to sleep, seemingly forever.

The Effects!

With the splitting of the land, many commoners were stranded on there own, without their leaders, Tidus's People being especially spread out. These commoners would evolve through hundreds of years to be just as intelligent as the three rulers, making groups called tribes, and soon the only remembrance of them was in a small island home to many different tribes called Japan. Japan was a place ruled by tradition, and as such the original three rulers never were forgotten there. The most obvious influence was Magnus's, as many of his views were still held by the Japanese, such as his views on women, ruling, etc. The only real change to the old ways were the architecture and the currency. Over time, the currency was changed from gold coins to copper coins and paper bills called yen. Many more Great Wars were fought, but none were so ferocious as the first, as Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto was never awakened again.

Injen And The Samurai!

After the third Great war, raids from spies and ninja were becoming increasingly common. Because of this growing threat, a new security force was needed. As such, the samurai were born. Though this caused a huge decrease in raids, samurai weren't very plentiful and took years to train, so Japan needed another more abundant solution. This solution was found in Injen, a natural resource located underneath Japan that causes stimulation of physical attributes under constant exposure. This caused a boom in samurai population, for the max training time required under the influence of Injen was only a year. Though Injen based samurai were seen as inferior by natural based samurai because they have to use less effort to get to where they were.

The Present!

Now, Japan is nearing it's 5th Great War, and the three greatest tribes are recruiting the smaller tribes to make stronger military forces. You are a samurai of natural or Injen based training who is preparing to go off to war. Most of you are very young, some of you might even be children, but age no longer is an important factor. Many of you *will* die, but remember that samurai are a whole, not an individual. Now go, and may the gods be with you.

The Rules!

Sorry about the super long story! You're almost done with reading! After this there's just one more thing!

  • Please do not make your characters too op.

  • Do not be totally obnoxious with your characters.

  • Do not chastise people ooc, it's not helpful and it makes you seem like a jerk.

  • Do NOT make fun of someone ooc for sexual orientation, race, or gender. It will NOT be tolerated and earn you an instant ban.

  • Give your characters some actual personality. Not everyone had a tragic event in their past that causes them to be all stoic all the time, but not everyone's gonna be all happy all the time either.

  • Unless your character dies, only one character per player please.

The Tribes!

There are ten tribes all throughout Japan, Three of which are powerful enough to take other tribes.

    open/close all folders

    The Big Three
  • The Tribe of Mizikaya: A Battle waging tribe that often starts the Great Wars. It's people are known to be more aggressively inclined than other tribe members.

  • The Tribe of Ika: A mechanically advanced tribe that is usually neutral. It's people are the most diverse personality-wise.

  • The Tribe of Konohamu: A diplomatically focused tribe that often tries to settle conflict during great wars. It's people are known to be the voices of reason in many conflicts.

    Battle based minor tribes
The people from these tribes are less aggressively inclined than Mizikaya tribe members, but they still have a temper.

  • The Tribe of Soma

  • The Tribe of Nomu

  • The Tribe of Marni

  • The Tribe of Daisuke

    Neutral Minor Tribes
The people of these tribes are less diverse than the people of Ika, but still aren't very alike.
